  1. There are 4 screws that need a long (70mm or so) but small Philips head screw driver to be removed. After the screws came out I used 2 guitar picks to pry it open, one stationery and the other to work my way around the frontcover. It is held in place by a lot of tabs but they don't need much force to work them loose with the guitar pick. Just a bit of patience.
  2. So far so good. No issues with screens blacking out anymore
  3. You can take the frontcover off and create some air vents. Initially I left the entire cover off but that might not be the best idea
  4. Cancelled the order on the cable. Instead I made holes in the front cover that seem to do the trick for now. In the meantime couple of hours playtime without the headset failing. Maybe the G2 lifetime is a little extended
  5. Ok, waiting long enough in MSFS the same happens. Of to the store for a new cable
  6. When I have to I will do that. But it is so odd that for MSFS it all works
  7. I did that update in the past but to be sure I downloaded it again. I reinstalled but no change. I noticed that when I go to "pause" or "ESC" I can look around all the time without the headset blacking out
  8. Hope somebody can bring some light in this matter. And in my reverb Since recent my reverb headset is acting up in DCS. After a while (15-20 minutes into the game) the headset blacks out. It does this always in the same pattern. First the left screen, then both screens and then turn back on. And that repeats itself. In a regular pattern, sometimes it blacks out quickly, sometimes it take little longer but generally within a minute. I thought it was caused by the latest nvidia driver so I installed an older version (572.83) but no change It looks like there is no problem in MSFS in VR Looking at the log file (not really sure what I am looking at though) I see a massive amount of warnings and errors including errors in the GRAPHICSCORE (17804) Is there something obvious going wrong here? dcs.log
  9. I dont think this has all been fixed. Mission 2 the other F4's can come out of their parkingspots alive now but 2 out of 4 crash on entering runway. Another mission (6 I think) I join as employee number 3. Employee 1 and 2 request rolling take off and crash as they take of in a direction where now runway is
  10. Seems I have a similar issue with my G2 Reverb. Since a couple of days the headset stays dark when firing up DCS in VR. The mirror picture is visible at my monitor. Sometime sound does play through the headset, sometimes it even reacts to movement of the headset . In other case DCS starts and instead of showing on the desktop (the mirror of the VR) it remains an icon on the taskbar and does not open. After running several repairs and rolling back the nvidia driver no results. After several tries it suddenly will start. All this time when I try to run MSFS in VR it always works without any issues. For me that rules out a cable problem with the headset. I am running DCS on a computer with the following specs: Device name DCS-PC Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor 4.20 GHz Installed RAM 48.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Installed on ‎5/‎16/‎2022 OS build 22635.2552 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22679.1000.0 Attached to log files. dcs.log.old is the file where the headset failed dcs.log is the file right after the previous file where it suddenly worked again I hope someone can help making sense of this issue dcs.log dcs.log.old
  11. authorization failed message is now gone. But still no FC3 aircraft
  12. Seems that a repeater in my network was causing the issue. with the repeater disconnected the problem didn't reappear anymore
  13. Getting closer. It is not the laptop. This morning same issue but no laptop or other pc in the network. Switching to hotspot, no problem. Switching to guest network, also no problem. I guess this is somewhere in the network settings on the pc for the "standard" wlan network.
  14. It became more interesting. With the hotspot on i only see 2. The expected ones. Then i moved to a repeater of the main wlan, 2 servers as well. Then back to the main wlan. 2 servers?!?!?!?! just a thought, could a computer on the same wlan but with vpn tunnel setup could mess things up? Yesterday and today that laptop was up and running but with the latest test for the mobile hotspot the laptop was shutdown.
  15. I dont have a spare router but the mobile hotspot would be possible. Will try that and see what happens. Thx for the suggestion.
