  1. the simplest and best way (IMHO) is to replace the nomex glove models for the VR hands that DCS has with pink spheres, slightly larger than your hands, to encompass them, and make them not be affected by global illumination. This would result in you seeing the real world in passthrough wherever your hands are moving to. I have a full simput with working MFCD screens, but in VR i'd rather look at the actual in-game simulated screens. However, seeing which button in your pit your hand is about to hit and switch to actuate is infinitely better than fumbling your way there by touch. If ED or anyone could give us "VR Passthrough hands" as an in-game option and they have some distinct chroma key color, it would be a godsend.
  2. thank god. I would have been mightily pissed if I get compressed music. Go compress some Jester voicelines, I'm good. Please don't compress music. I can understand earpod / Beats by dre userbase not caring, as one streams music in compressed formats for the most part, but this is a good thing.
  3. 800MB of 5.3GB are ~15% and not 25%, which is a significant difference. The .ogg files are used for sound effects only and the music is left as high quality audio, and I'm completely fine with it. If the F14 is anything to go by as an example, the "Music" folder contains your actual Music album, which you get to keep no matter what while the "TapePlayer" folder is exactly that, your music in-game in-cockpit, which (as with the F14) you can replace with your own music even. and if you chose to do that, you still keep your OG F4 soundtrack in "Music". That means, that effectively, you have 388MB of wasted space, if you are really pedantic about it. Delete your "Music" folder contents and be off. I Can't even buy an SD card small enough today where that amount would matter. I, for one, will have my own soundtrack in the TapePlayer, as i " I bring my own mixtape " to the different mission types. Please don't change anything about this approach. If my assumptions here are wrong (since i am not a programmer at HB), please correct me happily.
  4. Custom Kneeboard Positions by editing lua files and custom Controls indicator positioning, due to DCS spanning multiple monitors and the kneeboard and Controls indicator being rendered useless / not visible. Mods\aircraft\AIRCRAFTNAME\Cockpit\Scripts\ControlsIndicator\ControlsIndicator_page.lua It shouldn't be too hard to give us numerical input fields for size and position someplace or drag and lock them around on screen. (kneeboard still has crapped up default position each launch and on my setup can't be reached). ALSO, +1 for helios and vaicom support. Many people here have inested years, time and thousands of $ into building simpits for something they love, Just, ... no
  5. +1 Open API more or do the fine job the Overlord crew has done themselves... just make the API a bit more open.
  6. BorderZone Community sends their love for the Tomcat
  7. Patch lands, and the game doesn't auth me anymore in-game (was auto login before for me). Can't play mutli, etc. Doublechecked password via web, it's fine, works fine. changed it, still fine. Known issue or fix incoming?
