  1. Same issue on Mission 8. When I reach WP5 - Marshall, I get a message to set the Whiplash frequency and then press the spacebar. However, nothing happens when I press the spacebar, and I remain stuck in that state.

And no option to contact whiplash with F10 menu.

I confirmed that the FM radio is set correctly to 51.5, and I also tried using the preset mode—but still no luck.

I've encountered this bug three times in a row now.

Anyway to get the fix? or do we need to wait next patch?

m a new Crystal Light owner, and I'm struggling with both hardware and software IPD settings. I can roughly set the hardware IPD, but I still have an unpleasant feeling between my eyes that eventually leads to nausea after a while in-game. I used the Quest 2 and 3 for a long time and never experienced this sensation. (ota: i play with my glasses)

I've tried fine-tuning the software IPD offset—it seems correct in desktop view (both eyes are crystal clear)—but in-game, I still get this uncomfortable feeling, like there's an offset between the eyes. So I’m guessing there might be a difference between the desktop and in-game settings for far and intermediate vision.

I admit I have a strong prescription for both

    Hi Dangerzone,

Thanks for you post, i'm just waiting fo 17mm spacer and try, as you suggest, to have some distance with lenses.

I discussed with my best friend-optician, and from his opnion, presciption lenses are not the answer. But i think about it, if i'm not finding a correct answer to my issue 😉

    Nevertheless, thanks for your help.

PS: i've also requested help from pimax discord, i'll keep you informed

I admit I have a strong prescription for both eyes, but I was wondering if there’s any method, setting guide, or dedicated tool that could help with precise IPD adjustment for DCS.

    Here are my current settings:

    • Hardware IPD: 63.5 mm

    • Software IPD: Horizontal right offset: 0.8 / left offset: 1.2

And my current glasses prescription for distance is:

    • Right eye: +3.5 (cylinder 0.5) at 15°

    • Left eye: +2.75 (cylinder 0.5) at 20°

    My exact IPD measurements are:

    • Right: 33 mm

    • Left: 31.5 mm

    Thanks for your help,

  4. hi,

I have the exact same configuration as yours. I've left the Quest 3 on the default settings. In DCS, everything is maxed out (including clouds and water). I've only turned off shadows and set terrain shadows to flat. I've also enabled MSAA x2 and set the Pixel Density to 1.

I've installed Quad Foveated Rendering, and now I'm getting a constant 72 FPS (occasionally dropping to 36, but not frequently).

The only issue I've noticed is some occasional aliasing on certain objects like decks, airport wire fences, etc. I've gotten used to it.

With such powerful hardware, you shouldn't need any additional processing."

    BR,

  5. Hi all,

i've got an issue mapping the speedbrake commande on the throttle of my warthog.

I'm trying to map the speedbrake on SPDF button with TARGET. But when i choose PULSE option, the time is not enough to have a complete extend of airbrake, and when i choose the HOLD option, as the switch is still on SPDF, it holds the SB key, generating interferences with other commands.

Does anyone have this issue? How can i map properly the speedbrake on this button? Is there a way to stay in HOLD option only for some seconds?

    Thanks by advance,

    A.

There seems to be some issues on certain versions of Oculus software.

You can use the "legacy menu" mode that shouldn't be affected by these issues:

    1) turn on OpenXR Toolkit Safe mode from the Companion app

    2) start the game.  Menu should work.

    3) go to Menu tab and set Legacy menu to On

    4) turn off Safe mode and try the game again.

This seems to solve the problem for every reported case.

    Hi all

    @mbucchia

    thx for your help.

I've tried your suggestions, but the menu don't appear even in safe mode (step 2). What should i check?

    @edmuss

How do configure the oculus to use openVR runtimes instead of the oculus runtimes. The only settings i have, are (see below):

-Tools openXR for MR : define openXR as active runtime:

-Oculus software to set openXR as active.

SO i don't know how to configure for OpenVR.

    Thks for your help

  7. Hi all,

I've tried to configure my oculus Quest2 for openXR, following this guide

But i can't have the openXR toolkit menu into DCS.

i request your help for my settings.

    What i did  :

    1) Clean/Repair DCS ==> done

    2) Download latest release of OpenXR Tools for windows ==>done

And it seems to work, as in systems status, it's "installed and active"

3/4) download and Set runtime to OpenComposite ==>done

And it seems to work, as dcs icon is detected and seems active.

    5)  WMRP ==> Not working (Q2 not detected) but wouldn't that be normal?

    6) On oculus software, Open XR is defined as active

7 ) OpenXR Toolkit ==>seems to work because "active" and openCompositeDCS is enabled ==>can't acces to openXRtoolkit menu into DCS

I've read other ressources on the web, asking to change a registry key ([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\AvailableRuntimes]
    "C:\\Program Files\\Oculus\\Support\\oculus-runtime\\oculus_openxr_64.json" to 1 (instead of 0))

So i request for your help with the following questions :

Should i use OpenXR/OpenComposite mods for DCS? I've tried but openXRtoolkit is still not working.

Is there other things to do?

Is there a way to make the Q2 works on WMRP?

Does anyone can help me and give me the right procedure to make it work? Or it's not worth insisting to make it work with Q2?

    Thanks for your help !

  8. Hi all !

I'm starting this campaign, and when a i go through the first operationnal mission(code HEEFEE), the coordinate given into the briefing are not those from the red circle. DDMMSS and grid coordinate are consistant but far away from the supposed target. So i can find the right target.

    Is that a bug?

  9. Hi all,

With a friend we're not able to see our servers(mission in coop) at all ! We succed in playing on other servers (4YA, aso), but each time we try to launch our own mission we can't see the mission on server list, and we can't connect direct to IP.

We checked the port forwarding from the router (10308), it's OK. We checked M$ firewall, it's OK...

We have no idea what to check more to make it works.

    What we do :

    1) Selecting Mission

    2) Launch Multiplayer server

    3)Selecting servername/pwd

    4) checking the "public server" box

    5) Launch

But impossible to see the server in the list neither connecting with IP.

Is there anyone that can help us to make private coop mission?

    Thanks by advance,

    A.

  10. HI, i've got an issue with launching missiles.

Launching missile(spacebar) is on the trigger of my warthog HOTAS.

But each time i've have to launch a missile, nothing happens.

I've tried not to use the hotas to trigger "space bar to continue" message, and only to use it for missile, same Issue... I've tried Ralt+Space on keyboard nothing.

And what is weird, is when i takeoff, and try to launch missile from the early beginning of the missions ==> it works! I've tried other mission, it always works also !!

    I'don't understand, but i've restarded 4 times M9!! i'm desperate!

  11. Hi all,

We tried with a friend to play in multicrew on MP server, and each times my friend enters as cdb into a hot h/c, the engine start to decrease as if we start the shutdown procedure (but everything is visually ok in the aicraft)

Is that an issue or a bug?

We can see in different post that it seems there is a specific procedure to play in multicrew(enter in cold, press geo/utm and then enter),  Is there a document somewhere to describe the procedure? is it possible to enter in an hot aircraft ?

    Thanks for your help.

  12. Hi Stone sky,

You're right, it's a matter of feeling and we all have different expectations and everybody should find what is looking for to have a great campaign.

First, in your campaign, we feel that a plenty of work have been done around the scene under our feet, because there is a lot of good and innovative idea.

Personnaly, what is missing is diversity and mainly for all the thing i discussed before, because everybody has to find his way. A hard work has been made on scenario, but too heavy on the radio comms and linearity from my point of view.

I love the gazelle because of its light way of flight, its agilty, i love to make the dragonfly through the building/trees/terrain topology and always 3 m above the ground. So i love to play with its strengthness with ambush, scout and versatilty.

Because of the low/medium range of its weapons, you need to go into the lethal range of targets, that leads to intense approach and careful progression, so i'm quite disapointed when every mission looks like a school bus tour.

From my opinion, what is a great campaign (i mainly have all missions aroung m2K, gazelle, F18), you need :

-Feeling to progress into action, but also into your way to control your aircraft : so it's a great feeling of achievement to begin a mission with stuffs that you're not sure to achieve, and finally you quit and can say : "i did it!" Not to hard, but not to easy

-Unexpected : it's always great to have unexpected actions... you begin a mission with a mindmap of what to do, and suddenly something happen and you have to reorganize your mind how to deals with those new elements/objectives : great feeling of achievement also

-time increase intensity : mission that last, increase the feeling that you have to do the things well

-Technicity : finding a way to get further than the common use that you can find into the manual or on youtube tutos of your aircraft and functionnaly

I don't say that every mission should match with every listed topics, but if each mission have one pinch of this items, it's just the flavour of pepper that you end a mission with a lot of sweat of satisfaction

I hope you didn't take my words as aggressive comments, it's my point of view about my love for DCS.

Nevertheless, thanks for your work and the way you want to share with us the way YOU love DCS!

Don't hesitate if you want more feedback to your future creations!

    A.
