  1. When trying to launch DCSAutoMate.exe as per the instructions on your GitHub page, I get an Unhanded exception in script. error. Running Windows 11 Home. I have DCS installed in a non-normal location. Instead of Program files, I have it installed on a separate drive. My install path is E:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Modded\ (I also have a Vanilla install in the same root path but DCS World Vanilla). Saved Games folder is the normal one. Nothing special there. Would this affect the application's ability to run?
  2. This smells of something else internal, and trying to save face by putting the blame on another developer.
  3. If Razbam had indeed included a Trojan in the F-15E module, then there would be thousands of reports of it from all works of anti-malware software. Not to mention a lawsuit on their hands and criminal charges. If you honestly think that Razbam has included a trojan and it's not just crappy software like McAfee or Norton throwing a false positive, then I have a bridge for sale that I think you would be really interested in. McAfee and Norton are very poor applications. Sure they may catch some things, but they end up causing more problems than not. What do you mean by "Defender is an open game and is weak"? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? There is a reason why large businesses, companies and agencies use Defender over programs like McAfee, Norton, TrendMicro, etc. I'd go in to more detail, but I don't think it would get through to you, especially considering you think that Razbam is putting malware in to their modules.
  4. Because if you have any mods installed in the root folder, you're going to have to repair/reinstall them. This way saves time. Are you arguing against using Windows defender as your AV software? I'm not sure I follow your statement. Even if you're a small business and you just let defender do its own thing because you cannot afford the management setup, it's still leaps and bounds better than McAfee, Norton, Avast, avg, trend micro, Kaspersky, etc.
  5. 1. Uninstall McAfee and reboot your PC altogether. 2. Launch DCS and click the module manager in the titlebar 3. Click the 'Installed' option to view all your installed modules. 4. Click the garbage can icon to remove the module. 5. Click 'YES to complete the removal DCS will then close, the module will be removed, and then re-launch. You will then see a number next to the module manager in the titlebar. Clicking that will give you a window showing you what modules you can install. Install it from there and try again.
  6. Windows Defender works perfectly fine. It's non-intrusive, low on system resources, updates regularly. I haven't used a 3rd party AV suite in the past 8 years. My workplace where I'm a sys admin, we finished our migration to Defender from TrendMicro last spring and it's been so much better. There's a reason businesses and enterprises use Defender over anything else.
  7. Remove McAfee. No one in their right mind should be using it. It's a garbage application. Same with Norton.
