the mirrors seem to have no effect here. i honestly wonder why.
When the mirrors dont have an effect on FPS, you are normally CPU bound, which you should not (with a 3800X CPU at normal circumstances...)
-> Do you have Tacview enabled? Tacview can make you CPU bound with most complex scenarios...

Hi guys,
A little confused here. The hind seems to be munching my FPS like crazy, with most modules i get 50/60FPS with decent settings, but with the hind I am barely getting 30!
Any ideas whats going on? any settings I can look at to smooth it out?
See my settings below.
MSI z16 laptop with 3060
32gb ram
I7 11800H-MSAA to 0
-Anisotropic Filtering to x4
-Install reshade and enable SMAA and CAS Sharpener shadders

It has nothing to do with Nvidia, the radar code is not very optimized and hammers the CPU a bit hard at low sometimes. Hopefully in the future it gets sorted out, after the Corsair is out.

Thank you Phil, Dietrich and all the people who worked on the best WW2 DCS server we had.

We have to be very patient. Bug fixing is far. very far from finished.

Now that the sound issue has been fixed in the last beta patch, MiG-21 Sound is with your MOD.

Thank you HeatBlur, you enlightened my week with the power of 100 stars

It is so much better to be able to dogfight in a normal quality map area, no more distractions on low quality terrain and glitches.
Ty, I hope this change makes it to the official mission.

It has been fixed internally. Next patch contains the fix.

What!?
Cant wait!

here is an insanely quick and dirty test build.
BFM area and SAMs have been moved, please test
- BFM area
- all the moved test sites ( SA 2,3,5,6 have moved) need to test both attacking them and their effect on other SAM sites in the respective area
- the biggest issue I can currently see is that the SA5 in its new location covers basically the entire area that the carriers are in, last thing we want is to be in the groove on approach for a 3 wire and then have to defend against an sa5
really need to find a better spot to put the sa5
as this is a test build it has not been "cleaned" you will require the A4 and the Civil Air mod, also the names and labels are more specific to the NZArmA crew not he generic user ones you will see in the official releases. there may also be little glitches and bugs in things so use at own risk
let me know what you think and what you find. if its good I will tidy it all up and refine it a little better then do another official release

Thanks for taking your time
I have been looking for a long time, a MP mission just to train Dogfights with my friends and seems like this could become the perfect mission to "train it all".
Again, thank you.

1st thanks for the mission it is wonderful.
I only would like to suggest;
Could not be possible to have the dogfight area in a detailed area of the map? The current area is so barren that it is distracting with all the terrain glitches.
Thank you

Well, This is not the service I expect as a paying customer.
This issue has been present since months, maybe even years.
And even more disappointing because NONE of the other planes has such a wrong discrepancy between the
external and internal sounds. I also see no progress on the F-4U, for wich I am eagerly waiting.
Maybe playing less chess would be advisable?
??? issue appeared in the last beta.
Issue has already been resolved in the internal beta and fix will most probably come with the next patch.
If you read Magnitude 3 last public communication, you would also know.

Server is still alive. Does anyone know of any MP dogfight mission I could use for whenever this server decides to take a break? (Sometimes it disappears for days/weeks)

Hi Nin
Ohhh no. Sorry. Your work is excellent. I think it is not your mod at all! It should be a general problem.
I hear some buzz and "noise"-s but not the engine inside. Just after a few tries.
Strange. The dev team should fix this, not you, because you made a good work and thank you again for the efforts!!!The sound issue is already solved, the fix should be included in the next patch.

The mirrors look
promisingproblematic as hell...- 1

Looks like the next DCS update will include a fix for the MIg-21 sound issues (confirmed by devs). Cheers!
-
My biggest issue is "vanishing points" depending on the "level of zoom". Sometimes "more zoom" equals to the "point disappearing" which is confusing.

Love the new more stable and less wobbly flight model. Hope the reflections will be solved soon.
Still not as of today

The complete loss of hydraulics with take off flaps (around 500 kph) in the approach for landing never existed in the real plane. It is a bug 100%

Petrovich says nothing,
I think "flares flares" is from a mission file that triggers a specific user made response.
Ohh, I didnt notice this! might be it!

We already have voices.
-Flares flares!
I think between 2022 and 2030, for sure.

"this was optimized to not affect visual quality, yet resulted in reduction of roughly 50% of needed video memory for all used cockpit textures. "
"Performance increase may be noticed on video cards with limited VRAM space"
I think the black mod only benefits people with weak graphic cards.
