W8compmode has been working for me too. Have been practicing and crashing a lot doing carrier landings.

For what it is worth, was having this problem. First tried Empty %TEMP%\DCS.openbeta Problem remained Then tried Empty C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS...\fxo This seems to have solved the issue for me. Hope this helps anyone else having this issue!
