  1. It would also be nice to have the Tomcat to fight those Mig-28's;)
  2. My personnal favourites: Crimson Tide Battle of Britain Tora Tora Tora Master and Commander K19 Behind Enemy Lines
  3. I've had some problems with DCS World, the most frequent being CTD's. I was using Windows 7 Professional until yesterday, and tried everything to make DCSW run on it, including some of the tips you guys posted here on the forum:thumbup:, unfortunatelly without success. :( But today i thought about changing Operating System version( i have both ) and went on to a Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit clean install, reinstalling also DCSW, with DirectX and Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries bundled with it. And you know what:doh:? It works:thumbup::pilotfly:Don't forget to update your 3D graphics card's drivers, just in case, as i did:smilewink:. My specs: MoBo:Asus P8H61-M; Memory:G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 2x4GB 1333MHz; HardDisk: WesternDigital 500GB Caviar Green; GPU: nVidia GTS450 1GB DDR3; CPU:Intel Core i5 2400 3.1GHz (3.4GHz Turbo); OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
  4. After replacing my good old Euro SX for a brand new Pentium 100 with Win95, it was time to put it to the test and so i did with Hind , A-10 Cuba and Hornet 3.0. Remember the mission briefings ..."Comrade you will fly the mighty Hind in this assignment"...so cool as it was the gameplay as well. The other two had a very good physics engine making for a great flight experience...i don't remember catching the wires as many times as i did in Hornet 3.0 ..."hornet one call the ball at 3/4 mile...hornet ball" and we were ready to hit the deck thumbup: A-10 Cuba was terrific, although graphics were a bit dated, but the flight model was very realistic it got me hooked:thumbup::thumbup:
  5. There was also a military helicopter sim called "LHX Atack Chopper", by Electronic Arts, wich i played a lot and had great fun playing in those early PC days of mine:thumbup::thumbup:; here is a video showing it in action: On the airliner field one that catched my attention, before Flight Simulator, was" Flight Assignment:ATP". It was very detailed and realistic in the early 90's. So to sum it all up: I began my flight sim life:pilotfly: with three titles: "F-15 Strike Eagle II", "LHX Attack Chopper" and "Flight Assignment: ATP (Airline Transport Pilot)"
  6. My first flightsim experience was with F15 Strike Eagle II from Microprose, my PC being a Schneider Euro SX 386 with MsDos OS. Loved that game, played it all night long on those summer days when in vacation....Yeaaaah!! Great memories. I bet most USAF eagle pilots of my age started like this. LOL
  7. The plane i would like to see in the next DCS release is the F-15E Strike-Eagle, altough i voted the F/A-22 Raptor in the poll( I have to agree with GhostDog when he says that ED developers wouldn´t release a simulation based on an aircraft whose systems are classified or top secret). Because it has been present in Lock-On and FC2 since the beginning, and i think it deserves the same treatment A-10 did with DCS:A10C; the other reason is related to the importance this aircraft has in the USAF inventory and it's superb performance as a multi-role fighter-bomber. But the main reason is because i love this jetfighter, it's a beast of a plane!!
