  1. Yeah... I think that maybe what it is and I'm gonna work on this some more and experiment with settings. The weird thing is- not every time is the Bf-109 a problem. Usually I have no problems but sometimes it just goes so haywire that I can't get the tail wheel straight and I may as well choose another plane.
  2. I fly all the warbirds except Mosquito frequently and the 109 is the only problem - except after this last update when they changed the P-51 they ruined the brakes for those of us who can't feather the brake controls. Now it tips over almost immediately after touching them no matter how slow you go....... so it is now VERY difficult to steer.
  3. Feathered so that's it? We don't all have the ability to feather the brakes when we map the controls. Most DCS pilots don't use a pedal rudder control and in addition some people have leg problems and injuries. Some people don't have both legs. Some people I know don't have a kneecap because the Vietcong blew it off. There are all kinds of reasons people don't have Rudder Pedals. So they use a twiststck or a paddle on the throttle, like me. So in these cases the brakes have to be mapped somewhere else. It makes the 109 unflyable sometimes. Not all the time. But one wrong move when starting out on the taxiway and it's a nigh mare that can't be fixed. If the tailwheel gives you a problem you may as well just respawn right away and hope it doesn't happen again or you'll spend an hour spinning on the runway until you hit something and blow up. There should be an update with option on the 109 for a slightly more forgiving tail wheel. PS: Same for the P-51 since the brakes were ruined after this last update.
  4. Not true. Maybe for YOU! There is something wrong with the modelling of this. It needs to be simplified for the cyber-world because it's not this hard in the real world to get the knack of it. On a PC you don't have the help of for 5 senses.
  5. Why didn't you just tell him. That website is blocked in my location t
  6. There were pilots in those days. Saved his friend - .. and btw... Let's not forget that warbirds had their place in Vietnam. pilots in those days
  7. Yeah....I just got the P-47. I think I better get a German aircraft too though. Last night on the best WWII multiplayer server there is, 4YA Project Overlord, I noticed 40 allied pilots and 17 Axis. If I had a Me 109 or Focke Wulf I would have helped out the other team instead. Haha! That's what I did last sale and I procrastinated and then missed out. You'll have to just bite the bullet and buy everything on your list and get the map too. Don't worry, you'll relace the money. Can alwasy get more.
  8. Project Overlord is not very good about getting the word out about their events. I've missed every one of them.
  9. I posted another one from the Lufwaffe side on the FW-190 forum that shows Luftwaffe tactics developed against Allied bombers, which should help Axis sim-pilots survive an attack against bombers on DCS WWII multiplayer servers like 4YA Project Overlord.
  10. Gun Camera Analysis, a number of people have requested this one and now was finally time to do another one. Same format as the last one only this time from the American perspective. USAAF and USN.
  11. Discussing the tactics used to takedown B-17 & B-25
  12. Unfortunately, that's too long to wait because for some reason, since the sale started coincidentally, there is a rash of new pilots flying on this server now and the numbers are way up. However, they are mostly people with US and British planes flying for the Allies on Normandy and it is making the Axis team too small to be a fair fight. They need more Axis pilots and that was the main reason I was going to buy a German plane. So, when the sides were unbalanced I could choose a German plane. Oh...but that was a good sale !........Also See above.
  13. I wasn't "waiting" to purchase actually. I was testing out 5 planes that I was interested in. I had to learn which ones I had the best chance of taking off and landing and which country I wanted to fly for on the 4YA Project Overlord WWII multiplayer server I mostly fly on these days. I only bought one but I would have purchased 2 more had I one more day. I decided against my first choice because after flying the Me 109 and getting used to it, I still felt tense and unrelaxed flying it because it is so needy of attention all the time. I liked the Dora but I found that the server only spawns that particular aircraft ridiculously far away from the action on the Normandy map. It took me a long time to figure out how to get the Anton off the runway consistently. For me, it turned out to be how I set the trim for take off. The P-47 was a pleasure to taxi, takeoff and fly. It's only drawback is it's turn rate. I will buy this plane next sale. 18 months ago I tested all these aircraft and not one of them could I get off the runway, even with your advice which you gave me back then. So I gave up on the idea of flying anything except my P-51. But for some reason, now, after exclusively flying the P-51for this long, I not have near the troubles taxiing and taking off other modules, with which I had very serious troubles previously. I had no problems at all taxiing the Spitfire, even. So, I did purchase that aircraft right away. The only one I got from the sale.
