Just to be sure: create a new mission in ME and go to your Aircraft Additional Properties (rigt beside Radio Settings/comms) tab and check if Solo Flight is unticked, launch the mission, press the 2 key (not numpad) and see if you have the back seat available. I tested now, in single player, and i have the backseat available as i always did.
Probably the server host only allow solo flight with the T-45C, this is just a wild guess because i don´t know if you´re talking about of your server.

Created a new mission for testing and the S-3b worked as intended. it seems the issue was mission-specific.

We were talking different things, i was talking about the main gear height issue. You were refering to the nose gear bug due to old version/corrupted of the CJS Superbug. It happened to me, deleted and downloaded again and problem solved.
Try downloading the CJS Superbug again and enable it with OVgme. That issue was corrected with a fix.
