  1. So my theory is that if we could get some guidance on the "friction" that the real thing has that the game can't do, we could set a "Stick Friction" (and maybe damper?) in VP Force and then have the game still send the Spring/Periodic effects.
  2. So in the F4, which types of spring forces can it enable from the game? Is it only Spring and Periodic? In the VPForce Software, we have a lot of settings available for setting "sticky" forces that will not let the game override it, or for setting forces the game doesn't it. If you can't set a high friction from the F4/DCS, should we try a "sticky" friction force in the VPForce software? null null
  3. Not pressing I that I know and I can see the knobs to left of the left MFD resetting to zero when this occurs. May have found my issue after much annoyance - also had those adjustments bound to an axis on my throttle that I wasn't moving, but was pulled all the way back. Will report back if I see it again.
  4. Bump on this topic. Still having this issue in 2.8.35759. It always happens after raising the IHADSS video brightness. If I don't adjust anything, then this bug doesn't seem to occur, but it does seem to occur after adjusting things - which means it very often happens at night time. So this is pretty game-breaking for me in the Apache at night since the IHADSS is the main source of info there.
  5. Reverb G2, and using OpenComposite and OpenXR, in the System tab in OpenXR overlay there is an "FOV Percentage" adjustment that reflects what you can physically see in the eye in the headset. This adjusts the rendered square around the headset and can be reduced somewhat in my case before I start noticing ill effects. I can get it down to 85% before I notice that there is a square image being shown. This is nice because 0.85 * 0.85 = 0.72, or basically the same as the FSR/NIS scale factor I'm currently using. So I get a performance boost because I'm rendering less pixels that I can't physically see due to headset fit limitations, but I get to keep the original quality rather than having to upscale and sharpen. In IL2 this works properly and "crops" the FOV of rendering in the headset. So I have turned off FSR and NIS upscaling, and get good images and good performance. In DCS, this is not working for me. The image shown gets smaller, but the same 100% cockpit image is "shrunk" rather than "cropped." I have tried correcting by using World Scale or Zoom but neither one of those is adjusted. I would love for this to be fixed (and many other VR improvements) but this seems like an easy one to fix since removing pixels being rendered seems like a great way to better performance for low effort.
  6. I have had multiple issues with my symbology knobs resetting to 0 after I try to adjust them - either via HOTAS or in-VR-cockpit with the mouse. This is a quite severe bug for me considering how important the IHADSS is for the Apache. This has happened on basically all my pilot brightness knobs at some point IHADSS Symbology Brightness IHADSS FLIR Gain IHADSS FLIR Contrast Primary Instrument Brightness Track Link: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Al3Xx82EFkwIun1vv2u-25fQqL-_ Happens in the first 5 minutes of the track when I am trying to use HOTAS encoders to adjust brightness up and down. You can see the symbology disappearing from the IHADSS quite obviously. Midway through the track I disable all my HOTAS binds just in case something is going on. Don't think any extra keyboard buttons are being pressed. Happens in the last 5 minutes of the track too when I try to adjust the brightness via the cockpit knobs and mousewheel too.
  7. VR things I would like to change IHADSS Symbology is offset compared to the sweet spot on my Reverb G2. I would like to make it slightly smaller and and move it slightly outward. It is currently pretty blurry to to read the torque/speed indicators on the left. Maybe a position adjustment/scale feature. George AI circles are in an even worse position further outside the IHADSS. Certainly there is some blank space in the cockpit like over the boresight reticle or just over the window or somewhere to make it be sharper to view.
