  1. Same issue, VR with Rift S but not using Steam. I can get DCS to start outside of VR not sure if that was using MT or not. Not near computer till later today to check the log file.
  2. These folks got the explaination of your problem correct. Set your axis settings back to default. Your x/y axis take you straight to max left/right with a tiny movement, way easier to learn to fly at default settings then tweak. Get your feet on the pedals and trim the aircraft using the ball. Try 90 knots max for usual point to point top speed. Learn to hover first and watch some videos on how much control input looks normal, pulling 1,000ft per minute and whipping her left to right like that would rip any helo apart. No offense, but start slow. It's a great, classic bird that is a proven workhorse. Good luck, you'll get it.
  3. You really did a nice job on this Presidium! Happy New Year!
  4. Thank the Lord above, they finally fired the mechanic that worked on the rotor balance..
  5. How about we get back to just having someone at ED giving her a little love. Take her out of the programming hanger and give her a once over, many little tweaks that would help immensely.
  6. I'll keep watch for the next sale and cash in.
  7. Probably will add it. Only have the base map and Marianas at this point. Got excited about trying that Huey mission and completely overlooked what map it was on.
  8. Why is the latest version not showing up in Missions? Mission editor doesn't even recognize the file to open it. Downloaded it twice and even renamed it to get rid of the period in 2.0.miz. Nevermind, it would help if I had the Syria map
  9. Santa doesn't hold a candle to you, Sir. Thank you very much!!
  10. Do believe that one of the ED Team stated that undocumented tweaks are continually happening in the background to all aspects of the 64. Maybe only the more noticeable ones or filed bugs make he list. I'm not saying that the improvements I noticed came out in 2.8 but that is when I noticed them compared to a month or two ago.
  11. Friction is a microfiber towel wrapped around the neck of the joystick. Helps hold it in position for long legs but doesn't affect precision hovering. You still have to tweak constantly to fly straight and level but I never flew a helicopter that you didn't constantly adjust. Can't handle springs, that's so "ain't real" for helicopter. Sorry for off topic folks, I'm done on that note.
  12. Quick flight in OB 2.8 after some time away from the 64. I must say that the FM is coming along nicely. One point to stress was the inability to do quick stops which was non-existent previously. The aircraft would just not let you bring the nose up to decent angle of attack while dropping collective. Today was very pleasant coming in to land at about 75kts and a little over 500fpm decent, flared hard at about 50ft while dropping collective, still descending / slowing and coming to a hover at about 25ft AGL. Rudder control was very nice and smooth also. I don't really use Trim since I took the spring out of my Saitek X56 and Saitek pedals. Keep up the good work ED!
