DCS A-10C: Finally - a sim that is a quantum leap ahead of F4AF, in regards to functionality/complexity/graphics. opinion = the FM physics are very well modeled. I didnt say representative of a real A-10, but a strong likeness to real flight physics. Systems function/capibility Outstanding! Cant wait to see the finished and optomized version. I know they have more than one programmer working on it but not many. Their consultant is an active duty Hornet pilot who answers Hornet ops related questions, almost daily, on their forum. Facinating source of Hornet ops knowledge. They have been at it for ~2 years now so, imo, it may be a while, but I believe, and also strongly hope, they take it to completion, regardless of when that is.

They have a way to go but, imo, the FM, Avionics, Weps, Pit complexity/functionality, and Carrier launch/trap are already high realism/quality. They are not promising but are posting possibility of release sometime in 2011. It is a serious C model, Naval variant, Hornet Simulation. Same here, Installed Beta 2 last weekend. When I invoked Setup.exe for Beta 3 an icon displays 'must have V1.1.0.0 installed. When I run Beta 2 it displays V1.1.0 Same here, Purchased the beta in September. Registered at the main site and this forum, uaing exactly the same username and password. Requested access. I always get the "access not allowed' icon anytime when clicking on links that have been moved to the Closed Beta section which in not present, anywhere, when I log on to the forum. Posted this before. Getting a lot of enjoyment out of Beta 2. Asp

Hello I Purchased A-10C over a month ago. I do not have a FTP username and password. How can I get an FTP username and password so I can download Beta Patch 3? When I downloaded Beta 2 I didnt have to enter and FTP username and password. I applied to the beta forum, a few days ago, using the same username and password I have at the main site, where I purchased it, but still have no access so please do not move this post or I cannot see replys to this post. That is, there is no Beta forum thread listed when I log on to the forum, under ED or anywhere else. Thanks Asp

I did purchase it, over a month ago. That was in the post that got moved. As I posted I'm using a new pc, which dosent have the original, Beta 1, on it. That's why I ask if Beta 1 is required for Beta 2 to overwrite before it can work. If I do need Beta 1 for Beta 2 to work I also ask, where can Beta 1 be downloaded from? Thanks Asp

Do you have to have the previous beta installed then load Beta 2 over it? I loaded only Beta 2 on a new pc. I dont have the previous version and I get errors when invoking Campaign, Training, and Instant action. That is why I ask. I posted a detailed description of observed sim responses but that post was immediately moved - but I'm not allowed access to wherever it was moved to. I applied for access to the Beta forum using like UN and PW. I hope no one moves this post, which will deny me being able to see responses. Asp

Hey world of DCS Hawg drivers, I just got a new PC Dell 8100 Studio XPS: i7 870, 6GB DDR3 SDRAM, nVidia G310 512 MB DDR2, 750 GB SATA HDD, Windows 7 Home 64 bit, X-52 PRO. Downloaded DCS A-10C Beta 2 - Torrent version Installed ok. When I run the proprogram the menu displays ok. I can open Options and make changes. I can see the log book and encyclopedia. When I select Instant Action an error icon displays: When I select Training the following displays: I only installed Beta 2. No previous versions are installed. Any helpful feedback is appreciated. Hey All, Installed the latest BATA DCS A-10C When I run the app and select the training missions it takes > 7 minutes for the mission to load before starting. After starting my frame rates vary between 1 frame per second to 1 frame every 20 seconds or so. System: P4 3.0 GHz up 1.024 GB Ram Ge Force 7600 GS video with 256 MB video RAM Windows XP Home Edition SP3 I know the basic spec calls for 2 GB RAM. I will add that tomorrow.
