  1. Visual combat is becoming very difficult again. Last version was fine, now I can't see the target again. The FPS is a bit higher with QV+PimaxPlay, but it's harder to visualize the spitting dot than with STEAMVR
  2. The current model is great. Being able to reach visual around 8-10 nautical miles is the first thing. Otherwise air combat between Cold War and WWII airplanes is basically unfeasible. As for whether that point is aesthetically pleasing, it can be slowly adjusted later.
  3. The current pattern of spotting dot is very good. We're competing in SATAC Cold War these days. Now can visually see enemy aircraft within 10 nautical miles whether you use a monitor or VR. This is in line with reality. The previous mode where you couldn't see anything made it hard to fight in a scenario like Cold War that relied more on IR missiles.
  4. While I don't play War Thunder, just as a reminder, DCS is also just a game,no more noble than WT. I've said everything I needed to say about the situation, you just didn't read it. I've been playing DCS for a long time, not for lack of comparison. Since we can't agree on anything, there's no need for you to respond to my narrative.
  5. You think? Congrats on thinking that's not why it's important. You must be Hartman reborn, looking far ahead. The number of server players doesn't support your point, you're just talking to yourself
  6. Hoping for what? I hope that, like the old version, in VR mode ,you can catch a glimpse of the black dot of a moving fighter in a visual air battle on a clear day within 10 nautical miles. Instead of pointing to a screenshot, “look, isn't the plane somewhere”, it's certainly easy to look at a picture and find the black spot, whereas in a game, who stops and waits for you? If the current version is better, then why are some of the most crowded cold war servers that used to rely on visual combat, now has no players?
  7. G2 I've used it, too. You can see it from this far away, You have great eyes, just great. Hartmann or Nishizawa Hiroyoshi. I can't even see with a Pimax crystal.
  8. Just updated to 2.9.7.58923 the update log say some balancing has been done, but nothing has really changed. the F-16 near 10 nautical miles has become a pixel, which equates to being unable to visualize in PVP. Yes, it's disappointing.
  9. Please, stop this thread about how the current version is better than the previous one. You can't see an airplane within a few nautical miles, it's an airplane, not a fly, do you need publications to prove that so many players are blind? Let alone the setting, how you set it up doesn't really have any effect.
  10. @BIGNEWY In terms of visualization, the current version is really both unplayable and too far from realism, so please fix it!.
  11. Yes, version 2.9.5 is much better. Recently online PVP,No longer is there the joy of close visual fight, any target can only be searched for by relying on radar. Not at all, my teammates with VR agree that it's much harder to spot aerial targets now than it used to be. There's no defense for that.
  12. I don't have a problem with 10+ nautical miles being a faint dot in VR mode, but the situation is so close that you can hear the engine roar and it's still a faint dot ...... Currently in version 2.9.6, the VR headset is not reflecting the advantages of eSports.
  13. I have a DCS teammate who is an active fighter pilot and he told me that he can see aircarft at 20 kilometers on a good day. I don't think he's bragging. So a clear view of fighters at 10 nautical miles is realistic. I've read the recollections of Japanese naval pilots during WWII, and this vision wasn't uncommon at that time (the Japanese didn't have radar).
  14. For a flight simulation game, it's very important to be able to simulate visualizing a target in the air. 2D displays can't do that, and the reason why we use VR is because it's more successful in that regard. But now with version 2.9.6, it's hard to even visualize a target within 10 nautical miles, and that's a failure. You may think that a “big black dot” in the air is bad, but being able to “see” is now the first priority.
  15. Sorry I can't agree with you at all. With 2.9.6, no matter how you tweak it, it's difficult for VR to visually see the aircraft, even if the target is only a few nautical miles away on a clear day. My friends around me who fly DCS with VR agree that 2.9.5 is more realistic.
  16. I used your settings and increased the frame rate a bit. But it hardly helps with visualising the aircraft. I use a Pimax Crystal , 4070ti
  17. In reality, as long as the weather is OK, when you are a few nautical miles away, you can see where the fighters are heading, whether they are higher or lower than you, and you can tell the model. In the current version the point is too small. You can hear the engines roaring, but it's hard to find the airplane. Whereas in the previous version, it was much easier to see the plane in VR mode. Did I make myself clear?
  18. The state of the flight is changing all the time, so how is it possible to name so many parameters at once as you asked. I haven't seen anyone quote that many parameters in previous discussions. I can only say that compared to the older version, the current version can't even see the flight status of a fighter on a clear day when they are close to a few nautical miles. That must be a lot different from the real thing. The previous simulation was a bit more realistic. I use a Pimax Crystal, and there are definitely no problems with the hardware.
  19. After upgrading to theVer 2.9.6.57650 of the DCS, I noticed that in VR mode, the ability to visually see the aircraft is greatly reduced, and I can barely see the aircraft at close range. It's understandable that you can't see the plane clearly on a 2D screen, but intentionally adjusting the 3D mode to be almost as good as 2D is not realistic. Please take care to fix this in the next version.thanks
  20. hi bros i have an account with f-16,Jf-17 , a friend give me another account with f-14. i want to move f-14 to my account,Can this be done? Switching accounts is too much trouble. thanks
  21. i repeat many times to confirm i am in AA mode . not this solution.
  22. I also encountered this problem, is there a solution?
  23. Hi bros Sometimes after doing BVR or dogfight, I can select my A-A missiles (SW/SP/PH), I can hear the Aim-9 beeping but there is no moving diamond after I select VSL Hi/Lo or PAL. I see that this issue has been mentioned before, but no useful response. Is there something the Jester or I need to do? Thks
