A simple mission. Guns only dogfight F-5 vs MIG-19 in Sinai map over desert. I did not notice any blur or smearing etc. I'll keep running with F for now and see how I get on.

I see some 'vibrations' on the white lines in displays, radar lines on displays, power lines on ground, and so on.
I believe more visible now than with previous driver/dlss versions.
Any idea how to reduce those effects?

I don't need ReShade at all anymore since the OpenXR Toolkit. Me can change all the for me necessary points with this nice tool (brightness, gamma, vibrancy, colors, shadow darkness and many more) directly during a VR session.
What toolkit values do you use? g2?

Very good performance and amazing visuals in VR, dlaa, full max out and 200pct wmr. 45 fps stable both Syria and Caucasus redone. 4090.

The DLAA technology is the best what happened to this sim visually recently, but the missing VR mask really ruins the experience, it's very bad. Is it really that resource-intensive work to patch it?

use wmr toolkit to fine tune visuals
95pct the 2nd from the bottom. I believe it is called highlights
maybe 47.5pct exposure
keep default the rest (50pct most, 0pct Shadows). you can pump up a bit colors with vibrance 20pct (0 is default).
Try and look for the best visuals for your vr headset and taste
dcs with latest Nvidia driver and taz mods runs VERY well on 4090 and hp v2

Very good performance with a 4090, with hp v2, with latest nvidia driver. I also use Taz mods.
I see better terrain shadows now..I also see some new details on the ground due to better performance. Incredible!
I use 200pct WMR, and 2 in detail settings dcs. ULTRA CRISP at 45 fps locked almost anywhere (single player).
nvcp: x16, ultra low latency, max power and clamp, rest default
Dcs is getting better and better. Thanks!

I suggest a link to each of the latest versions, for each mod, would be easier. Internet bandwidth is not a problem for most people.
Updates to the patches may make things more complicated for most.
Anyway, Thank You Taz for these, amazing as always.

I like VR with LOD 2, DLAA, SSS, all visual settings ultra and 200% WMR Tools. Amazing. I have discovered some new details in F16 cockpit. You need a 4090 for that. 45 FPS.
Congrats ED, this 2.9 is looking very promising. I can't wait for a better implementation of DLSS in next patches. For me current DLSS is not playable.

4090 users, is Nvidia control panel important or not for you in DCS 2.9?
I know max power, but what about other options?
x16 in control panel vs in game?
Anisotropic sample optimization? Off or on?
Negative LOD bias? Allow or clamp?
Quality or Performance?
Trilinear optimization on or off?
Any other non-default setting? Do all this really matter for DCS 2.9?

I can only speculate with "hypothetical conspiracy theories" as to why Eagle Dynamics has not added Caucasus Redone and TAZ's Better Trees to the Core DCS Files.

100% agreed. As I said some time ago, Taz should be compensated in some way by ED... The amount of time and wisdom invested in his mods deserve all our respect and recognition.

CAS sharpens, i have been using it for years with Toolkit. Yes, I am on turbo on. Agreed DLAA is not perfect on moving objects, but good enough with cockpit and terrain. better than dlss (crap now in Dcs). I run dlss Quality in the other nice simulator with much better visuals (i guess the dlss implementation is different). I heard dcs will implement that latest dlss version in a following patch.
What surprises me A LOT is that nobody asks the BIG QUESTION....
When will DCS UPDATE THE ENGINE? THAT IS THE QUESTION... That will improve visuals and performance. We all know the limitations of current DCS engine...

Try the toolkit, Foveated Rendering gives you some FPS if needed. Turbo on some more. FSR 77-78 in toolkit (quality mode).
Before 4090 I run 3080 in HP G2 pretty well. Similar DCS settings than you, but x16 in Nvidia control panel, 45 FPS at 4200x41xx resolution. Mssa x2.
My 4090 did not handle 4852x 47xx in DCS 2.9, crashes. In tried.once.

I used d for vr with good results (quality) 3.7, less fps than e
I tried e with 3.8 and not sure this was better in visual fidelity. I believe great in smoothness and no ghosting.
I run 4090 at 200 render wmr, quad views and 13600k. Reverb g2 v2. 55-65 fps with default 3.8.2 and DLAA.
