  1. The sequence doesn't matter so much to the ATC. You can call up on marshal, get instructions, call established (no matter where you are, just be more than 10nm away) and then instantly do platform and you'll get data suggesting you need to descend to 1200ft. Then just fly your approach and at around 10nm they'll continue with the Case3 procedure. 8nm is final radar contact, 5/6nm ACLS lock on and from that point you get your last DATA update and you can engage ACLS. You can skip commencing and checking in calls and it will still work as described above.

  4. Seems like the wind goes all the way to 5000ft, i have set 40knots at 33ft and 0knots at 1600ft. Trying to create rough sea with flyable carrier winds. @Nealius

  6. tested again, aggressively blocking the taxi way to the stern with static objects. They park you next to the island, so that works (tested in SP)

  8. Completely agree with your points! @Bonz I think they did it to cater to the general MP public on public servers. If you make the first parking on the bow or cats 1/2 on a public MP server, no one can take off from them anymore. I believe this is the reason they start parking you on the stern. I would love to see it done different too seeing our wing is simulating carrier ops the way they're done IRL.
  9. Yeah this is just broken, it was fine before. We just did a CASE III session and everyone could barely see the landing lights.
  10. Simple wish to be able to see allied air units on the F10 map when using the airboss or LSO slot. Effectively making it override the mission's F10 map setting of 'Map only' My group flies with enforced 'Map only' in a milsim environment which means if I'm in the airboss slot i will never be able to see allied units on the big F10 map. The small map in the airboss room isn't sufficient for full SA. The ground commander already overrides this enforced option if I'm not mistaken.
  11. It would be extremely awesome if the airboss slot could let the players go through the steps required for ACLS. It being currently tied to the Carrier's ATC is kind of annoying if you fully man CATCC like our group does.
  12. I've noticed something weird too lately. The IFLOLS is visible for me in VR (Reverb G2) but when i get to a little before the ramp, it instantaneously becomes way brighter Is this something you've noticed on your end? Or is it just not very visible for you at all in VR?
  13. Hmm, very interesting idea. I can't get it to work with smoke and fire effects sadly. The text that "static has been activated" does show up, but the effect doesn't get deactivated at mission load, it seems.

Sure, so the file is in: \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\tech\USS_Nimitz\Textures\USS_Nimitz.zip Just rename and replace the attached files in that zip and you'll get reduced or removed.
