custom_args = { [27] = 1.0, -- Upper Tail Modex [1000] = 1.0, -- Flap Modex [1001] = 1.0, -- Upper Nose Modex [1002] = 1.0, -- Middle Tail and Lower Nose Modex [1003] = 1.0, -- Rear Fuselage and Gear Doors Modex [1004] = 1.0, -- Forward Fuselage Modex [1005] = 1.0, -- Lower Tail Modex } at the end of the description.lau will set all dynamic numbers off. some of your numbering is incorrect, but most of it's right. 27, 1000, and 1001 are Navy-style modexes, what most people would consider the "default"

@Recoil16 is correct, those are my work, though that was on my old forums account. If you take a look at the description.luas, though, you will see a comment labeling me the maker. I do wonder why your install seems to show the old naming convention; the naming conventions were changed when I updated them to remove the new default patches (which covered up my custom patch work). I've attached a screenshot showing the updated folders. If you're talking about the heavy use of shared files, I am a bit of a sucker for those, and you'll see those on pretty much all of my skinpacks (including my 605 sqn one from the recent Mosquito competition)null; if you're talking about the use of 2k roughmets, that was actually only so I could keep it under 300mb for the user files upload limit while using the higher quality BC7 compression format, though it certainly does have the added benefits you've already mentioned here.

I mean, I’d be shocked if it was an issue, but I was already making an extra de-swastikad version so I figured meh why not just take it off, they’re separate layers. Thanks! First time I’ve tried the brush effect or the matte edges for airbrushing, and I think it turned out pretty well -

RAF 605 "Count of Warwick" Sqn pack, containing a generic livery (with fixed squadron code, UP, but dynamic airplane code and serial number), UP-O/HJ808, and UP-J/NS838, better known as Wag's "War Wagon". The latter is currently operated by the Flying Heritage Museum, and reference images of that aircraft were the primary source for this project. Features include: - Custom stencils, based off reference images (surprisingly, the IRL UP-J seems to have no markings for either fuel OR oil). - Intentional minor misalignment of the camo scheme, based off reference images. - Use of common folders, so despite being three liveries, it takes up only 50% more space than the generic livery by itself would. - Full custom roughmets. - Brush stroke effects on all four roundels, the fin flash, and the radio codes of UP-O and UP-J. - Not sure exactly how to describe it, but the effect you see on most airbrushed aircraft (including the War Wagon) where the very edge of the camo is a lot duller than the rest of it. It's not very visible from most angles, but it really pops when the lighting is right, and that's been recreated here. Available at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329763/ If there are issues with either the swastika kill markings and German law regarding those, or Popeye (presumably) being a copyrighted figure, I've also made a version that replaces the swastikas with Iron Crosses, and removes the Popeye nose art. If needed, I'm more than happy to make another version with either swastika kill markings but no Popeye, or Popeye but Iron Crosses, but it seemed excessive to make four separate uploads for a single competition. The brush stroke effects on the invasion stripes here are phenomenal. Excellent work. -

do you know what squadron/have any pics? -

It's the same squadron, but not the exact same skin, as you'd be able to see if you clicked on the link she provided. There's only so many ways you can make a plain black Mosquito without getting into the nitty gritty stuff. -

It’s not biased at all. It was also the case for the Apache competition, where I (on my old account) and somebody else both did a set of South Carolina National Guard liveries. And if anything, that inspired me to do an even better job, idk that I would’ve been one of the winners without the DIRECT competition driving me forwards. -

Just the mission editor? Or can you also do it in the rearming window? If not, I’d like to know how you did that, it’d be useful. -

I mean, even if it WAS required, they have no real way of knowing what software you used. -

I wouldn’t know, but it’s possible to do a pack with specific and generic skins. I’m planning on doing a generic 605 Sqn, as well as NS838 (Wag’s War Wagon) and HJ808, for example (assuming kill markings are allowed). -

No. They're just including instructions on how to correctly use a specific format that makes liveries look better at a distance for Photoshop users; you can create the exact same thing using GIMP, paint.net, and probably many other photo editing softwares with the right plugins. -

1944 France seems... very, very restrictive. Even if we accept that the context of WWII units in DCS HAS to be on period appropriate maps (which I don't), what's the issue with 1939-1943 France, or England from the same timeframe? -

I'm aware the WWII German aircraft have censored swastikas to comply with German law; does this also apply to kill markings on allied aircraft? Took a quick look through the mustang liveries and pretty much all of them have the iron cross if they have kill markings, so I figured I'd ask. -
I mean, "standby" is in the name, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to use the VDI in general.
