  1. She is done, and too strong, lol. Not a bad thing since that means longer flight times without degradation in performance. Right now I am flying with 3/100 centering force for my trimmer and 1/100 shake. I will be doing files or parts kits on laserwing.com and GitHub. Working on more motor options to keep cost down and variety for the range of strength.
  2. I only have the Pro, but I don’t feel any noticeable backlash. It is far less than the play in the linkage system on the big boy. I do feel slight cogging unpowered, but when I load up the testing software and power them up they are butter.
  3. My two babies together! I can’t estimate cost as I did all my own sheet metal for free on both
  4. Yeah they aren’t cheap, but neither is getting small batch SLS or MJF prints done for the gears, odrive 3.6, belts, and encoders. It still is more expensive but not nearly as much. In the end I’m super excited to wire up your big hoverboard model and test it with the odrive this weekend. Can’t wait to see what this thing does!
  5. null Just have to drill my hoverboard motors for the build to be finished, but I've since ordered gear reduced powerful brushless robot actuators and redesigned the stick around it. Waiting on the motors from China but I suspect this will be a much more elegant solution that isnt much more cost. One thing I am unsure how to approach yet is the control scheme on the new stick since I have the option to use integrated canbus controlled drivers instead of a O-drive. Require a new software layer, but I will investigate that later.
  6. A lot of people reached out to me and said they were having trouble finding easy to find ballast weight so I added that listing. I still prefer to sell it bracket only as I don’t like passing on unnecessary cost to people. A 2” stack of 2” wide washers will do the same as weights I’m including and can be picked up locally. For those that want a damper solution, I wonder if I can make a face plate cover similar to my counterweight bracket with a hole for a damper mount
  7. Send me a PM and I can figure out what my material cost is and we can work something out. I’d love to start a discord for the DIY builders, unless one exist. I know the vpforce one is out there but that is more for non odrive small motor builds.
  8. Yeah that is me. It works like a charm! Easy to add gimbal weights from Amazon to. I could add additional option to include 1/4-20 gimbal counterweights but it’s cheaper for people to just prime them without me passing on the shipping cost
  9. Thanks for the help! Here goes nothing. Laser cut and bent all the sheet metal today. Glad to avoid those big $ cost people were posting about since it’s my machinery. Hardware, odrive, and hoverboard arrive this weekend. Hopefully those go smoothly! I’m a little confused on the electronics side but I just keep reminding myself it’s like a diy cnc machine mixed with a rc plane, both of which I’ve made from scratch.
  10. Is the GitHub gone now? I want to start the build as it looks great and I own a fab shop and can easily laser cut the metal and bend it for fast iterations for my simpit the new smaller motor design looks dope
