@randomguylurking Thanks for the reply & link If it needs to be a mouse, made for windows, rather being able to adapt a smart device page turner - Genius seems to have made various ring mouses over the years but unfortunately seems their no longer selling it - though I will email and confirm if this is the case. I have Leap Motion working for hand tracking in DCS using the Hand-Tracked Cockpit Clicking (HTCC) 3rd party app for a mouse pointer (GitHub - fredemmott/HTCC: Hand tracking for flight simulator cockpit clicking) I have bought 2x bluetooth rings with the aim to act as a mouse clicker (rather than clicks mapped HOTAS) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005586453838.html?channel=twinner The Bluetooth device pairs to the PC (running windows), recognised as keyboard device from it's symbol. However it is advertised to function with iOS, Android & HarmonyOS, not windows. At present the device inputs are not recognised, anyone know of a piece of software or idea as to how to get the inputs to be recognised, so I can remap them or use it. Using PowerToys to try to register the device input did not work. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/bluetooth-headset-button-remapping/364ae052-ba34-4bf6-9524-21e274ee5eef The rings together with shipping cost £15, so no biggy financially if I can't get it to work, but would very much like to get it working if possible. Not sure if @randomguylurking or @rafalg78 would have any insight on this - having made their own BT ring clickers from scratch. null

@petsildDo you have a VR headset? If you do would be great to get some performance comparison between 4080, 7900 XTX and 4090. Thanks. -

@SnowTigerThe x3d Ryzen 7000 CPUs are rumored to be announced at CES in Jan, should hear release date info then. 3D Vcache is very useful for flight sims and VR. See links below & screen capture. AMD Readies 16-core, 12-core, and 8-core Ryzen 7000X3D "Zen 4" Processors | TechPowerUp null -

From what I've found so far the most current info related to your question is in the post above, see the link to the article & the screen image of the performance comparison. Essentially 4080 is performing well now, 7900 XTX is not performing well in VR benchmarks, however as AMD have ""Some virtual reality games or apps may experience lower than expected performance." in their "known issues" it might be worth waiting a month or two to see if driver improvements address this or not. Is why it would be good to see how 7900 XTX is doing in DCS in VR, rather than in other games - just need to wait for someone with a VR setup and a 7900 XTX to post some test results - and to check forum / interested in posting about it. -

nullHellhound RX 7900 XTX Takes on the RTX 4080 (babeltechreviews.com) The Hellhound RX 7900 XTX - is 2x 8 pin, similar to reference model, rather than 3x 8 pin as other AIBs. From the testing by Babeltechreviews the 7900 XTX did not score favorably in VR titles vs 4080 or in OpenVR Benchmark. However there is "AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.12.2 for AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series Graphics Release Notes". Known issues- "Some virtual reality games or apps may experience lower than expected performance." And that results can vary from game to game = the relevance of actual testing of DCS VR with 7900 XTX -

Thanks for the test results so far. Does anyone have a 4080 and a HP G2 VR // or 7900 XTX and HP G2 VR ? Would be great to get some testing on this, trying to decide between the two cards. -
+1 for a JA37. Listening to the interview from Enigma - "Cold War Module Maker Interview: Magnitude 3" on YouTube, it's interesting to hear about the different sources of documentation, often from institutional archives, though sometimes from freedom of information applications (FoI). Not sure if a FoI application would be relevant to the JA37 flight documentation, and if that would lead to non-classified aspects of documentation being able to be obtained. From a FoI application stand point I would assume it doesn't matter if it's "for a video game" or general interest etc, an application is an application. A comment was made above about a " Cold War 1980s JA-37 with Skyflash " pre- more modern upgrades, perhaps there is more information readily available in the public domain for this. There's also the benefit that the Eurofighter is getting having people on the development team who flew and were instructors for the airplane for many years, ideally having someone to consult who actually flew a JA37 would be very useful for the flight mechanics, Whatever the case, it would be great to see a fighter version of the Viggen for the Cold War server / era.
