M07 Matrix sometimes not attacking + CBU99 issue
Solid_84 replied to Solid_84's topic in Bugs & Problems
Think I will do the same instead of waiting for a fix by ED. Can I just change the loadout in the mission briefing or do I need to load the mission in mission editor? -
Hello Badger633, had a problem with Matrix after missing one of my 2 MAVs. He would not attack as ordered and just return to formation. Situation could be fixed by attacking the targets with gun. When I tried again, he behaved as expected. Only difference was, that both of my MAVs hit. I also have a problem with the CBU99s in this mission, which could of course be entirely my fault for not setting up the bomb correctly. I tried attacking from about 15k ft in Auto mode with EFUZE set to VTY1 and a HT of 1500. If I do this, the bomblets will hit waaaaay infront of the target. Any tips on how to set this up? I tried running in in CCIP mode, but the 3 or 4 IGLAS that are launching simultaneously make this pretty much impossible?

Same here unfortunately. Laser is shown as firing, but the trigger press is not detected.

Like I said, mission 9 part 2 is the other one I can remember. I played the previous missions quite a long time ago, way before the latest updates. Thanks for looking into this! Do you know if the lazing bug in M01 of your Operation Green Line campaign happens to everyone? If not I'd play this one in the meantime

Found some time to try again just now. No luck.. As soon as we are nearing the tanker and the dialogue plays in which Matrix is told to plug on port side he immediately turns towards the ABE. Track file appended. EDIT: I'm playing without mods. MT version in VR. My specs are I9 12900K with a RTX4090 and 48GB of RAM persian_lion2_m12.trk

Hi, thank you for the quick response. I only tried this once since I had the same thing happen to me in mission 9 part2. Only there it thankfully didn't result in a failure. So I assumed that it would just play out the same way if I tried again. I'll fly it again tonight.

Hello Badger 633, ran into a problem in mission 12, maybe I'm doing something wrong? When I'm ordered to refuel, I switch channels and contact Texaco using the radio menu to declare my intent to refuel. I did so on the starboard side, but my wingman who was supposed to plug on the port side never did. He just went on and flew off in the direction of the ABE. Even though I refueled, it likely didn't count. I didn't receive any other communication after this and eventually got the mission failed screen because I didn't plug as signaled.

Mhm this time I didn't even have to signal him, as he got back into my chopper all by himself. So I can't really tell if the option wasn't there again.

Happy new year to you as well! I wasn't able to find this before, only the airborne troops menu, which was empty. I'll try again later.

Hi, In Mission 2 I'm supposed to signal Angus to embark via radio menu. Where is this command supposed to be? I'm not seeing a F10 radio entry. Regards

Haven't been able to get both Fulcrums yet. Watched the Flying Kenny video as well, but cannot for the life of me replicate what I saw there. By the time my own 120 goes active there are already two Fox3s in the air forcing me to go defensive. If I manage to survive that it's my AIM9 against the remaining Mig's Fox3 which is in the air well before I get a tone and that just doesn't seem to work out so well for me. After several tries I really wish this part was earlier in the mission, as I don't have a lot of time to fly nowadays and can only try one time per day. Wish I wouldn't suck so much at AA..

Mission 10 Due South Part 2
Solid_84 replied to speed-of-heat's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
I second that question. I know where to find the Scuds by now, but I've had no joy in hitting anything with HT 1500 and Auto mode settings on the MK20s. I remember that the MK20s seem to have been somewhat more accurate when I first played this campaign after it came out. So is there any trick to it now? -
I finally managed to finish the mission:) I'm sorry to say it wasn't a perfect test, because I changed two things at the same time, but I'm fairly certain now, that it wasn't one of your triggers that led to the crashes. The first thing I changed was setting the preload radius to the max value because it was suggested in another thread about crashes in VR. The second thing was holding off on contacting Overlord until I had reached WP11. What makes me think, that the increased preload radius was what did the trick, is the fact that at the usual distance from WP11 when I'd expect the crash to happen again, my Reverb did act up a bit missing a few frames and messing up the view angle, but it then stabilized again. Thank you once again for taking the time to address this and trying to help me out! Looking forward to both your Harrier and the F16 campains.

The last thing I'm able to do is contacting Overlord after being handed off by Whiplash. That is after all targets including the EWR have been destroyed. I then turn toward WP11 or am already flying towards it. After the answer from Overlord it's usually a matter of seconds (or miles towards WP11) before DCS crashes. I've never managed to actually get to WP11. If I get the time I'll try some other things tonight with changing gfx settings and not calling Overlord right away. I had a very similar problem in baltic_dragon's R1 DF campaign, but there it was experienced by multiple users and can probably be attributed to the F14s. Thanks again for all your efforts! I really enjoyed your "Steep" campaigns. They're both top notch when it comes to believable procedures and immersiveness. EDIT: I just read that your Harrier campaign will be releasing soon. Time to dust off the module and get to learning the plane again:)
