  1. Mhm this time I didn't even have to signal him, as he got back into my chopper all by himself. So I can't really tell if the option wasn't there again.
  2. Happy new year to you as well! I wasn't able to find this before, only the airborne troops menu, which was empty. I'll try again later.
  3. Hi, In Mission 2 I'm supposed to signal Angus to embark via radio menu. Where is this command supposed to be? I'm not seeing a F10 radio entry. Regards
  4. Thank you both for the tip, I'll give this a try the next time I'm flying.
  5. Haven't been able to get both Fulcrums yet. Watched the Flying Kenny video as well, but cannot for the life of me replicate what I saw there. By the time my own 120 goes active there are already two Fox3s in the air forcing me to go defensive. If I manage to survive that it's my AIM9 against the remaining Mig's Fox3 which is in the air well before I get a tone and that just doesn't seem to work out so well for me. After several tries I really wish this part was earlier in the mission, as I don't have a lot of time to fly nowadays and can only try one time per day. Wish I wouldn't suck so much at AA..
  6. I second that question. I know where to find the Scuds by now, but I've had no joy in hitting anything with HT 1500 and Auto mode settings on the MK20s. I remember that the MK20s seem to have been somewhat more accurate when I first played this campaign after it came out. So is there any trick to it now?
  7. I finally managed to finish the mission:) I'm sorry to say it wasn't a perfect test, because I changed two things at the same time, but I'm fairly certain now, that it wasn't one of your triggers that led to the crashes. The first thing I changed was setting the preload radius to the max value because it was suggested in another thread about crashes in VR. The second thing was holding off on contacting Overlord until I had reached WP11. What makes me think, that the increased preload radius was what did the trick, is the fact that at the usual distance from WP11 when I'd expect the crash to happen again, my Reverb did act up a bit missing a few frames and messing up the view angle, but it then stabilized again. Thank you once again for taking the time to address this and trying to help me out! Looking forward to both your Harrier and the F16 campains.
  8. The last thing I'm able to do is contacting Overlord after being handed off by Whiplash. That is after all targets including the EWR have been destroyed. I then turn toward WP11 or am already flying towards it. After the answer from Overlord it's usually a matter of seconds (or miles towards WP11) before DCS crashes. I've never managed to actually get to WP11. If I get the time I'll try some other things tonight with changing gfx settings and not calling Overlord right away. I had a very similar problem in baltic_dragon's R1 DF campaign, but there it was experienced by multiple users and can probably be attributed to the F14s. Thanks again for all your efforts! I really enjoyed your "Steep" campaigns. They're both top notch when it comes to believable procedures and immersiveness. EDIT: I just read that your Harrier campaign will be releasing soon. Time to dust off the module and get to learning the plane again:)
  9. Yes I am and it is a clean install with no mods installed... It's just so strange that the crash in M2 always happens at almost the exact same Moment after contacting Overlord on the way to WP 11. EDIT: It wasn't the next mission that also crashed, but M4. I could fly M3 without any problems.
  10. Thanks for looking into it. I'm beginning to think that it must be on my end..or ED's. I had some hope that a complete reinstall might help, but it crashed again. Same thing happens to me in the next mission...crashed while finishing off the launchers. I have no idea what it could be.
  11. I'm also getting a lot of crashes since 2.8. Basically I'm unable to fly any lenghty campaign missions now since the game crashes after 60 -90 minutes. dcs.log-20221101-203355.zip
  12. I tried 3 more times now and DCS always crashes at almost the exact same moment, when I'm reporting to Overlord, that I'm RTB. Doesn't seem to matter how long I'm taking to get to this point as I can either only destroy what I'm ordered to destroy or expend all of my ordnance.
  13. Hi, I'm playing the campaign for the second time right now and flew mission 2 right after 2.8 dropped. I'm getting a CTD when I'm on my way home after destroying the targets on the island. It happened 2 times now when I was flying towards waypoint 11. Would be nice to know if someone else is experiencing this or if this is a problem on my side.
  14. Finally got to fly the last mission and what a ride it was. This is now one of my all time favourite missions. As for the whole campaign, it was immensely enjoyable but after having played TEW, R1 and Iron Flag, I expected nothing less from you. As tsgucci said, please don't go any easier on us.:) I really appreciate all of your effort to make things feel realistic and immersive for us. Be assured that your next campaign will also be a day one purchase for me. As a mainly single player pilot it will finally give me a reason to learn the F16 properly. Thank you again for all of the great work you've done!
  15. Yeah, it's really hard to survive in this situation, especially with the laser guided bombs you're carrying. Most of the time I get the SA2s lock on warning when I'm still guiding the bomb in. So when the missile launches I'm still rather slow. I concur with Jasonmoofang that diving to the deck at speed is your best bet to defeat this threat. Then use the terrain as much as possible to get the hell out of Dodge.
