Reading Chucks Guide I was left with the impression that with the Litening Pod, that the RAID/FOV button on the HOTAS changed between wide and narrow FOV on a short press and CCD/FLIR on a long press, but I can't seem to make it do that. I have the screen with the pod display selected, the radar elevation does the zoom like it should, but RAID/FOV does nothing. Anyone experienced the same or know what if anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks

I tend to keep mine charged, so I don't know if it would work if the battery was low or not accepting a charge, sorry.
-
I find mine slowly discharges in use even with the link cable plugged into a usb port.

I'm fascinated by how you are managing 72fps in liberation. I'm still running a Q2, on a 4070ti, 5800x and 32gb ram at slightly higher settings than you, but in Liberation on the Syria map I'm dropping to as low as 8fps on the deck of the carrier and that's with culling set to 100km. In single and MP I'm a pretty solid 72fps. Any chance you wouldn't mind sharing your full settings, it might help me identify where I need to change things.

HNY all, Just wanted to post and say that thanks to the information in this thread, I was able to order the right button (thanks @DeadMeat) and repair my warthog grip for less than half the cost of a new one. P8-141321A fits the pickle button perfectly length wise, it did need some tape wrapped around the body to ensure a snug fit in the aperture and I secured it with a little hot glue per the other buttons. Whole job took less than half an hour.

Hi, Would someone with the requisite knowledge please take a look at the attached mission file and be kind enough to tell me why I cannot get the UH60L to pick up troops? I also tried with a Huey, just in case it was a UH60 mod thing. I was messing around here for ages, I've looked at all the YT videos I could find, but they all seem to be from older versions of the editor and I just can't puzzle out what I've missed. This is the 1st time I've ever really tried to use the ME. Any advice or directions to a current guide gratefully received. Thanks in advance Syria Troop Test.miz

M12 JTAC Comms and weather issues
WurzelGummage replied to WurzelGummage's topic in AV-8B Hormuz Freedom Campaign
Thanks, much appreciated, enjoying the campaign. -
Hi, This might just be me being a bit crap, but I really struggled with M12 the RESCAP for the downed F18 pilots. The weather didn't allow me to target very effectively with the pod, which on it's own isn't that big an issue, but the JTAC didn't talk to me half of the time on any of the frequencies for the mission or 127.5, on one attempt point my comms stopped working entirely and I couldn't even task my wingman. In the end I skipped the mission after 5 or 6 attempts with no success. I felt like with the high number of MANPADS and the ZSU it was necessary to stay high, but the weather didn't permit targeting from height or from any decent distance out. I found this the most frustrating mission so far in the campaign. Is it meant to be that way or are there bugs that could do with squashing? Thanks

Hi everybody, Just been reading this thread as the pickle button on my Warthog A10 stick has failed. I've ordered a new grip, but I think in slow time I'd like to try and replace the pickle button with an OTTO one and then keep it as a spare. Does anyone have a reliable source for the P8-111221C (that's the shorter, black bodied with red button) switch in the UK preferably. I can find them on mouser but they are out of stock. I've also trawled eBay to no avail. Thanks

Mission 8 SEAD Fails
WurzelGummage replied to WurzelGummage's topic in AV-8B Hormuz Freedom Campaign
Hi, thanks for checking. I got it on the 3rd try. I think I was leaving the Fiona call too long and the f18's were getting schwacked before they could take out the Hawk site. -
Hi, I've been enjoying the campaign, but on M09 I've had the SEAD fail to suppress the AD twice now, leaving me to get shot at repeatedly by the Hawk site. I eventually run out of chaff and get shot down trying to get to the tgt. Anyone else had issues here?

Deck crews for the Tawara, Kuznetsov and future carriers
WurzelGummage replied to upyr1's topic in Wish List
If you look at the deck crews on a LHA, there are still people who direct the launch. But if I'm honest it's more the Comms I'm interested in. -
Deck crews for the Tawara, Kuznetsov and future carriers
WurzelGummage replied to upyr1's topic in Wish List
Hi, Not sure if this has already been asked, had a quick search and couldn't find anything specific. Will the super carrier style deck crews and comms be extended to the LHA and Kuznetsov at any point in the future? -

I have been having issues with the JTAC in the SA8 Mission (3/4) I'm on the MT Beta, no mods. Same issue, Cx in, then he just says 'Clear Hot' but no laser. Thanks -

Apparently not fixed! DCS still crashing, also still getting BSOD. I've uninstalled DCS and am re-installing from scratch. Any other ideas? -
DCS has started crashing for no apparent reason

Thanks all for help and advice. I think I have solved the issue, some corrupted files on my SSD which required a dskchk to repair. Not sure how it happened, but all seems to be running fine now. -
DCS has started crashing for no apparent reason
WurzelGummage replied to WurzelGummage's topic in Game Crash
That would be a shame, both RAM and SSD are less than a year old. I've been following this process https://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-10/how-to-fix-a-faulty-hardware-corrupted-page-bsod/amp/ I didn't roll back any drivers, wasn't sure which ones I would need to go with. I got to step 6, but the check wouldn't run as the disk was in use, so I set it to run on restart. The pc then got stuck on a black screen and didn't seem to be making any progress. I had to go out, so I've powered it off, tuned the mains supply off and pressed the power button for 30 secs, guess I'll see what happens when I get back this afternoon. Any advice gratefully received. -

Another crash, this time not responding during a mission load, this is all very confusing, it was running fine last week. -

I tried again and no crashes in 45mins of gameplay. I'll update over the weekend once I've had more time to play. -

Thanks, I've run the clean up and the repair. The only files it found were some cockpit mods and some missions, mainly the updated FC3 campaigns from the user files, which I've had for ages, before the crashing issue started. I backed those up, was that the correct thing to do? I'm a bit short for time this morning, bit I'll try and get on later and see if the crashing issue is sorted.
