North Sinai is still removed after latest update
Arashenstein replied to Arashenstein's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thank you please keep me posted about this. -
Hi, I am badly effected by this action from developers to remove the part of map that I spent 1 week on creating a mission for and here is the demo of the mission one night before the area was deleted in Chinook update: I just got the latest update they added and in patch notes it says "North Sinai" is returned but it is not, this is how I see it when I load my mission or in general the map: (See screenshot below). All the city and roads are deleted. And in fact it is not just this area, try most of the Sinai sections and Zoom in and see that roads get deleted. When you are fully zoomed out you can see the city and roads but once you zoom in, everything gets deleted in mission editor.

I created this mission based on a real life mission from IDF rescuing hostages from a hijacked airplane in an airport. IDF is driving their troops in a civilian bus to the hostage location. If the Bus reaches the road outposts they get spotted and eliminated by the insurgents. Your first objective is to destroy the road outposts without being detected by them from high altitude before the bus reaches them. Your second objective is to provide air cover for the IDF troops when they breach into the building. Insurgents from local houses will block their exit and they need to be eliminated. Insurgents will be reinforced by Technical trucks if they face casualties. An RPG trooper comes and destroys the IDF bus (Scripted). The IDF troops have no choice but to escort the hostages on foot to the extraction zone where a UH-60 Blackhawk will evacuate them from the area. Your final objective is to ensure their safe exit.

Arashenstein started following JTAC IR pointer bug after latest patch
-
Hi, After the latest update the IR pointer from JTAC is visible by FLIR as well not only night goggles, and with night goggles it is even very thick like a huge barrel, you can even see it without exactly pointing the goggles on its direction, it looks like a very thick white pipeline from the sky to the ground (if you use a MQ9 drone to IR mark). Is this a change or a bug?
-
how can I put this as a report to dev team?

Hi, I have a huge problem with entering coordinates that are LAT/LONG format and not in Grid format, how do I convert a Grid coordinate to LAT/LONG and wise versa?
-
If you put a static object in the game and link it to spawn after a mission trigger is clicked, it will keep despawning/respawning in melee seconds and basically makes it unable to use but you can see it in the game and planner. How to reproduce it: 1. Start mission editor 2. Place a static object 3. Create a trigger point (something condition easy to trigger) 4. Link the trigger point "Actions" to "Static Activate" and select the static object you already placed from the list 5. Create a new "Actions" and choose "Message to All" and type in something in the message box (This is to show the issue) 6. Start the level you created and trigger the condition to activate the static object 7. Notice the message you created keeps repeating indefinite time on the screen

Hi, I have started using JTACs a lot lately but I have an issue that some aircrafts do not have Grid input and in some situations the Lat/long info is more useful than Grid (like programming a SLAMER), but I have no idea how to convert one to another, is there any ingame tool to do this or any formula that I can use?

So by default the Dpad on my joystick or the numpad keys on keyboard should rotate my camera around. But if I have my TrackIR software running in the background these keys are totally disabled even if I completely disable the TrackIR unless I close the game and reopen it without TrackIR software being running on the background. However I found a workaround for it now, I have set a key for "lock" camera in my TrackIR settings so if I wanna hold my view on the target pod to see it better I just do this and it pretty much helps.
-
Hi, I have started using trackIR (using webcam) and it works fantastic but sometimes I don't need to have it on and I toggle it off with shortcut keys from the software and it does go off but it does not let me control the camera with normal keyboard controls or Dpad. I have to fully close the game and close all tracking softwares then restart the game and then I can control the camera manually. Is there a fix to this?

DCS: 007 Tomorrow Never Dies jet scene with Phantom
Arashenstein replied to Arashenstein's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
You should press "Ground override" it is right next to the left side of pilot seat. I think the button by default is "G" on keyboard.
