The other side of this coin is, I've never seen any kind of official release of info/video/WTFE(big red flashing sign on youtube video title saying here's all this official F14 info, here's our modeling data, here's our module performance tests and why our module is so 100% correct) from Heatblur that their F14A/B flight modeling is perfect beyond reproach yet only proof of HB's claims of F14A/B realism seems to be little more than word of mouth or hearsay. <profanity> you. Maybe it's my HOTAS, I push throttle to where max AB thrust would be, but some kind of issue with it only gives me max dry thrust and the AB animation still shows up in F2 idk

make some videos about it and share them on youtube dude. nobodies made a good scholarly F14B 1v1 BFM content in 3-4 years. I not certain that you don't, but how can you blame me for wondering when there's a unanimous group of people saying F14B is a certain way, and it's not even remotely lining up with the reality of my experience in it for the past 3 years. and again it might not be HB, it could be the server admin, the mission design, some kind of tampering within the server from other parties

we must have different F14B's then see the pros go fly the F14B in the wild of a public dcs world bfm server with it unedited broadcasted realtime and see what happens and what their thoughts are afterwards. seems like that'd be fairly obvious "i don't remember getting wrecked by hornets, vipers, and mirage 2000s like this last time I flew the F14B in 1v1 DACT" or "I do remember getting wrecked by hornets, vipers, and mirage 2000's like this last time I flew the F14B in 1v1 DACT"

yeah, maybe you can run it by your SME's then have them go fly the HBF14A/B pvp 1v1 guns bfm DACT for days in a regularly populated public bfm server and stream it all live?

Wow, yeah, never heard that before. So profound. Yet DCS flight models change willynilly all the time with people claiming they're holy grail of realism on both sides of the changes. I guess no one can relate, but forgive me for being extremely frustrated AF for putting in a bunch of time into 2 different modules(talking years here) only to have the rug pulled out from under me on two different occasions with massive sweeping changes to flight models, whether those changes are to the specific modules I was flying or to all contemporaries in the entire planeset. I guess the moral of the story here is don't buy early access modules at any point ever

IDK guess I need the additional toxicity lol, not like you can accelerate without pulling landing flaps anyway, you can be nose down pointed directly at the ground and get absolutely nothing when you need it. F14B is so underpowered following having AB thrust below m0.7 decreased af, lift reduced af, and airframe drag increased af not to mention you can't even out accelerate anything to run away at high speed

why does everything I like have to suck? 2018 I love the hornet and it's awesome, F14 is released, F18 sucks can't win at all. I start flying F14 and really like it start winning a lot in it. immediately F14 sucks and F18 is unbeatable again. what is this? some kind of joke? It's literally just like some crappy online multiplayer console game where there's a buff of one gun nerf of another and it goes back and forth. perpetually moving goal posts?

yeah I do that in PVP 1v1 guns, I'm gonna get my lunch eaten and die very quickly. happens all the time every time I fly. fly versus some guy that's a Hornet 1v1 guns bfm idiot savant, congratulations, I've died in 20 seconds off the initial like I'm the most useless noob scrub of all time. Is there some kind of disconnect between the world I DCS BFM in and the one everyone else commenting in this thread bfm in?

In current public dogfight servers, typically best config I can get in F14B at ~12.0 internal fuel no phoenix pallets at ~5000ft agl, not sure about pressure, but vs a clean light F15, F16, FA18, Su27, M2KC it's just a complete and total world of pain. I can drop flaps, fully commit to close in knife fight, but any opponent with half a brain is going to realize that's what's going on and be able to exploit it. Also even though I drop flaps I can still be easily outrated by a Hornet in turn fight on the deck.

yes What exactly are you and your buddies flying in these sessions? What aircraft configuration? What altitude? What met conditions? What types of BFM engagement setups? If you're doing DACT, for all I know, you're doing 1v1's with ac configs that I could never have an icicle's chance in hell of getting without being able to host my own servers running my own missions with a group of 200+ people consistently flying on it weekly(all things currently infeasible or impossible for me to replicate/reproduce)
