    IFF Mode 4

    Thanks for the replies.

    IFF Mode 4

Where/how do you activate the Mode 4 IFF? I found 1-3 in the UFC, but I cannot not find Mode 4. When you jump into a hot jet it is already active. But I cannot find it for a cold start. Does it even matter with the current release status?
  3. To stay in full vr you can install the scratchpad app (different author) and check the L/L box on the bottom left of the scratchpad. This will display the coordinates dot and can use the hot keys to save and transfer to THE WAY and then the jet while staying in vr.
  4. Yes, it works perfectly. see the notes and special points provided above.
  5. You have my never-ending gratitude for developing and releasing THEWAY. It along with the scratchpad makes flight planning and adding on-the-fly way points super easy in Vr. The latest update allowing the F-15E to use both A or B routes was brilliant. As the F-15E cannot (currently) remove or edit existing waypoints. Could you please add the ability to also add Route C for the F-15E? The issue I am having is we can only use THEWAY once per aircraft per mission. Once you transfer the waypoints to the F-15E you cannot add an additional waypoint as it always starts back at 1A or 1B when entering them. Even when I manually change the waypoint name in the app to a new waypoint number such as 20B before transferring it, it still tries to enter it as 1B. Am I doing something wrong? _______Update 25Nov. After testing I can confirm that you can use THEWAY in anF-15E to create and recreate waypoints as many times as you want. I re-watched the Razbam video on the Strike Eagle’s UFC to see what I missed and you can indeed change/modify waypoints. The key note is that the waypoint cannot be the current/active steerpoint. The key points on using THEWAY. 1) when transferring “A or B” waypoints, have the current steer point set higher than the number you are going to transfer (it cannot be an active steer point) or just switch to a different course “A, B, or C”. THEWAY always starts at 1A or 1B for the F-15E regardless of what you name it. 2) important: change any TARGET waypoints (ie 1.A) back to a normal waypoints point (ie 1A) by removing the “.” or the transfer will get stuck when entering the data in the scratchpad and it not work. It is easy to change waypoint to/from target points, and to setup JADAMs in PP mode. THEWAY also allows easy sharing of mission waypoints via export/import of a *.TW file, which is perfect for flights or squadron-level missions. It is the new standard for the JTF-191's F-15E squadron.
