This is how 3-screem angle adjustability support is done in MSFS. Why is it so much to ask for ta add similar adjustability in DCS??? -
MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS
Trebor18320 replied to Trebor18320's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I'm using 3, 55" 4k 120 hz televisions. to place these in the correct orientation for the 1- screen view I would need a space over 10 feet wide. the point of the left and right screens is to fill the peripheral left and right side, so they need to be angled in at around 70 degrees or so. -
MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS

So, The 1 camera is by default designed as a flat plane, all three screens would need to be straight inline with each other without any angle what so ever. or at 180 deg, vs the 90 deg setup of the 3-sccreen option.. I can't think of any scenario of a flight sim setup where either of these options are useful. It boggles the mind as to why the developers have it this way. I suspect some of them don't actually use the product their developing.. Likely just a bunch of paid programmers whose job is to write the code. -
When using the 3-screen .lua in the latest update, DCS 2.9.10.3948 The mission editor map has a large gray bar on the right hand of the screen. And when you place an object on the map it does not place the object in the correct location.. Something is definitely wrong here. It does not do this on a single screen. I ran the repair and it is the same. This only started happening since update DCS 2.9.10.3948 . This is NOT a stable release!! the new carrier crew AI does not work correctly, and the Dust storm slider in Is far too dusty even when you change the visibility range to the max setting. and now the mission editor is broke! How do I roll back to the previous version of DCS that wasn't broke?

MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS
Trebor18320 replied to Trebor18320's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Here is what ends up happening when you adjust the angle in the .lua files... This is after adjusting Dx values to -.43 for the left and .43 for the right. The angles do in fact change, but you can see why this is not the answer. All I can say is, If the developers at ED don't want to add support for this they could at least provide instructions, on the popper way to adjust these angles in the .lua file without it end up looking like the picture below. At the end of the day, as a paying customer for ED, in the time I've been using DCS for flight sim, I've purchased all of all of the following from Eagle Dynamics: KEEP IN MIND, Most of the modules I've purchased, I purchased not ONCE or TWICE, but THREE times over. Because, I have two sons that I've introduced to flight sim the DCS, fostering a younger crown of customers to Eagle Dynamics. The old and new version of Flaming Ciffs, Combined Arms, WWII Asset Pack, Supercarrier, A-10CII, F-4E, F-14, F-15E, F-16, F-18, UH-1H HEUY, OH-58, CH-47, Fw 190 A-8, Mosquito FB VI, P-47D, P-51D, Spitfire LF MK. IX, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sinai, Persian Gulf, Syria, South Atlantic. This adds up to several hundred dollars. I think i's fair to say, I've given Eagle Dynamics far more business than their average customer. Yet I don't feel there's any appreciation from Eagle dynamics when I ask for support. In fact on different support request for another issue, I was told by the ED support rep to post my request on the ED forum instead of using the support request. Sounds to me like someone doesn't want to do their damn job. what is the point of the support request on ED website if your going to direct customers to the forum instead. -
MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS
Trebor18320 replied to Trebor18320's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Exactly my point as well. Who would set up there sim pit with screens 90 deg of each other? That's just stupid No one does this! Why would the developers ED has it setup in such away that makes no sense.. Makes me wonder if they even use the product their developing. Somewhere between 45 and 70 degrees would make far more sense, would it not? and for those who don't run triple screens, They should most definitely try it. It gives optimum FOV in any sim and is less intensive on the GPU than VR. I have tried every setup, from a single screen then to using 3 projectors on a 270 deg curved screen, then to the Pimax Crystal VR. Now I've settle on using three screens, with head tracking via tobii eye tracker. All I'm asking for is for Eagle Dynamics to provide some better adjustability of screen angles for the 3-screen setup. And I get attacked on this forum by some members and patronized by the ED support rep. Ridiculous! -
MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS

Thank you for the input. I have played with these settings in as you mentioned. It is a cumbersome pain tin the ass process to make changes to the .lua files, then go thru the long process of restarting DCS over and over again, just to see that the changes made things worse in most cases. This is the very reason that requested support from ED. They could and should provide better support for this within the menu. -
After the latest update that added additional AI functionality to the carrier deck crew. I am stuck on the carrier. Starting from the parking hot position, After the Salute, the the message says..." awaiting personnel." I then saw from the F2 view, the wheel chocks are down. I requested them to be removed.. Nothing happens , wheel chocks remain in place, No personnel come. Waiting...waiting..Nothing happens This update doesn't appear ready for release. This isn't very intuitive has to how it should function. I watched the video from Wags to have a better understanding.. This new feature just isn't working as described. 2024-12-07 13-21-29.mp4

MULTI MONITOR- 3-SCREEN ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS
Trebor18320 replied to Trebor18320's topic in DCS Core Wish List
The so called pre made 3-screen .lua file does NOT cut it. Using this file, You would need to place your monitors 90 degrees of each other to have the Propper perspective in the pilot seat. Maybe if your not interested in this feature and you would not use it due to your lack of equipment, Consider the fact that if it was added, it would NOT affect you either way. But for those of us who do have 3-screen, it is a MUST. Go troll another post. -
I brought this problem up in a support request, and was patronized by support rep, Alexander Maximov, in his ridiculous answer that basically not enough people use a multi monitor setup for Eagle Dynamics to care about implementing such a thing. I will Say again Eagle Dynamics does not know their customer base. Makes me wonder, Is Eagle Dynamics a DEI company in their hiring practices? This would explain lot. WHEN???? Its been a dang year since this post started.

When using the three 3-screen setup, the perspective angle of the two outer screens have no adjustability. This is a must have feature in any simulator. Most every driving sim on the market has the ability to adjust and correct the angles when using 3 screens but NOT IN DCS? really? Even Microsoft flight sim has this feature in both the 2020 and the latest 2024 version. The only adjustability of this is DCS is the POV slider in the options, which is by far inadequate it just does not work well for this and as soon as you zoom, the angles will be off again. The improper screen angles cause nausea while flying and make objects in the peripheral view appear either too far away or too close. This does not flow well with the perspective of what is in front as you are moving in the 3 dimensional virtual space. AGAIN, The Developpes of Microsoft Flight Simulator, 2020 and 2024, and most every racing game out there understand this, as they have this adjustability in their product. Because They know that Many if not a majority of simmers use 3 screens. So WHY is it that the developers at Eagle dynamics don't get this this. Eagle Dynamics does not know their customer base. When I brought this up in a support request I was told that not enough people use this configuration for Eagle Dynamics to make a change to add this feature. This is a B.S. patronizing answer from Eagle Dynamics support person, Alexander Maximov. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU KNOW what setup and how many screens your customers are using? You have no clue. STOP patronizing the people who buy your product and essentially provide your paycheck. I will also add that it is ridiculous of how many pieces of third party software you have to run while playing DCS, in order to make it palatable to the user because of the lack of features in DCS to support things like MFD screens and multimonitor, haptic feedback of bass shakers etc etc .. Again Eagle Dynamics does not know their customer base.

Downloading anything from eagle dynamics in a timely manor is a JOKE, and has been as long as I've been using it. The only site I get such stupid slow download speeds is from Eagle Dynamics. I can Download MSFS 2020, which is a HUGE file size, and install it in the less time it takes to download anything from Eagle Dynamics. Yet their oblivious in not recognizing the problem is on their side

Can anyone please help? Last year after watching the Warthog Project on YouTube, I decided to build a similar setup; 270 degree curved screen measuring 1.23 meters by 6.54 meters, using three BenQ projectors. I downloaded the software from Fly Elise and followed step by step from the setup video done by the warthog project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLd-00W2HEg. However, I've ran into many issues. I've tried multiple times to contact the guy from the Warthog Project for some help but he has not responded to any. Multiple times I've contacted the Fly Elise so called support team provided them with details of the problems I'm having along with screen shots but all they do in response is repeat the same set of instructions, ("For DCS you must use grouped displays (2D surround enabled).Just finish the auto-align amber in Calibration PRO and make sure that the perspective tunnel scene is perfectly aligned in Calibration PRO. Then Export the multi-pocalib files as well as the DCS lua file. Copy the lua file in the corresponding DCS folder. Load the large multi.procalib file in Immersive Display PRO and disable the desktop warping. Now start DCS in full screen mode and select a flight. When the flight starts , the views will be perfectly aligned and geometrically correct.") I'm now beginning to wonder if an actual person is responding to my support emails or an AI bot, but definately someone who does not know their own product well enough to provide actual support that is at all in any way helpful. They're instruction don't even really match up with how the guy from the Warthog Project did it. They insist that desktop warping should be disabled for DCS. Anyhow, I've been working for several week trying to get it to work and am about to pull out my teeth in frustration. So, I marked my screen at 10 cm intervals and used a laser level to adjust the points in Calibration Pro. Everything is aligned, warped and blended perfectly as shown in the photos. I exported the .lua file to the saved games\DCS.openbeta\Config\monitor setup. I then ran Immersive Display Pro, used the multicalib file. per the instruction from Fly Elise. However when I run DCS the view is not geometrically correct, The horizon slopes down on the left and right in a kind of fish eye effect and the size of the cockpit canopy is far too large. So I again contact Fly Elise and asked them for instructions on how to make adjustments to correct this problem and they're response is again repeating the same set of instructions. I'm baffled that they charge 450 euro for a product but then have such terrible support when they're product does not work as advertised. tell me how to make adjustments to correct this? Can anyone please tell me how to adjust things to correct this? See attached photos and video. nullnull signal-2023-04-30-215442_002.mp4
