  1. For the Air Force test pilots. https://www.f4phantom.com/docs/F4_Phantom_Guide.pdf
  2. Also found the NATOPS for the -4J, if we end up getting the J I’ll post it here
  3. Found this and thought it might be helpful for those of you who wish to study the phantom beforehand. https://www.f4phantom.com/docs/F4Manual-1979-T-O-1F-4E-1-Flight-Manual-USAF-Series-F-4E-Aircraft.pdf
  4. That’s a non-airworthy one that a rich guy started getting operational. He got about 75% complete. So it’s actually not airworthy. Capable but not currently airworthy. Collings foundation owns the only airworthy one at this time (although according to @Diesel_Thunder it’s currently undergoing maintenance)
  5. The Collings foundation website quotes $15000 for one hour of flight, $10000 for fuel, and $5000 for maintenance/manpower. Currently the only flightworthy one in the western hemisphere.
  6. https://youtube.com/@DieselThunderAviation This guy does videos on an actual F-4, and has some DCS content too.
  7. The phantom has a set of "Bellows" in the tail cone, you can see the air inlet on the tail (No, it's not two pitot tubes, the lower one is for the bellows) but as the aircraft goes faster and more air is forced into the bellows, it will add friction to the controls. This was to help the pilots not oversteer the aircraft and throw it out of the flight envelope. It's an all hydraulic system, so the regular forces present on cable and linkages do not apply (as much).
