Very, though I notice in most of the videos provided for that bug the aircraft is 'flickering', in both of the encounters I mentioned it was just 100%, pure invisible, except for maybe being a spotting dot - Though we're still trying to confirm that particular nugget of info.

After sniffing through my own files, I found the track file for the incident on 06DEC24, and someone from the Grayflag discord was graciously able to dig up a tacview of it. In the tac view, you can see us splash the one su-25 we can visually see, then we enter a merry go round of turning cold or blowing through on the invisible second Su-25, with the F-14 getting much closer and taking some fox-1 shots even though he can't visually see it by following his HUD cues. Track file located in the same google drive as the other incident, found HERE TunaGambler-Tacview-20241206-191009-DCS-Grayflag Persian Gulf A.zip (1).acmi

Experienced this twice now with a group of 3 people while playing on multiplayer servers. Just for references sake: Myself in the F-4 front seat, my buddy in my back seat, and another friend in a separate F-14. First instance occurred on 06DEC24, second instance occurred 25DEC24, so there's been an update in between. The F-14 pilot, between these instances, had performed a DCS cleanup of shaders, saved game, etc. Both events occurred on Persian Gulf, both times it was a pair of Su-25 that were spawned in. We can locate both Su-25 on radar, but we can only visually spot and engage one of them. The second "invisible" one can be tracked on radar, the F-14 TCS and HUD will track it, but it is seemingly immune to missiles and cannot be seen by players - However - Jester is capable of tracking it. We don't have the logs or video of the first incident as we thought it was a fluke, but now that it's happened twice I've made a point to grab relevant files. We have video recordings of both incidents. There's two anomalies between the incidents- On the first incident, after my WSO had a game crash and reslotted into the back seat he could see in the invisible Su-25 and was able to guide our tomcat pilot into a guns position, where he fired blindly at his HUD cue but scored a kill on the WSO's screen. On the second incident, we may have witnessed the spotting dot for the Su-25 blink out but the game failed to transition from spotting dot to actual model, we're holding a magnifying glass up to the video and will try to upload any additional evidence we find on that. Video of FIRST incident: https://medal.tv/games/dcs-world/clips/jmpv5Qsjf3aZlF0-o/C98Pl922Q2cW?invite=cr-MSxoVVgsMTUxOTA0NDI0LA Video of SECOND incident: https://medal.tv/games/dcs-world/clips/jmmq5vwiptdsrBoLj?invite=cr-MSxrUlIsMTUxOTA0NDI0LA Log files relate to the most recent incident. Track file is located HERE, exceeds the file size allowed by the forum dcs.log

If you're wanting to do just you two, your best bet is to port forward again sadly. If you're willing to have other players in your game (but on your team!), I can highly recommend the Flashpoint Levant and Grayflag servers. Technically speaking you can get a dedicated server from providers like Fox3MS, but I don't think that's very reasonable for what you're getting up to, with their lowest price point being $43/month. There's plenty of guides on how to port forward, and you should just need to open up port 10308!

Can anyone point me towards a decent tutorial on DL with CBUs.
Czechnology replied to Indianajon's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
I don't think anyone has really been doing Dive-Laydown tutorials - But I can agree that cluster bombing in dive-laydown seems to be a lot more miss than hit. I can get accurate hits with slicks and high drags, but clusters always seem to land short. -
I want to clarify this is a weird bug, because it is module specific but the bug is not on the module side. The only one I know it happens for is Heatblur's Phantom, but it isn't being caused by the module, it's being caused by the amount of weapons available to the module and the UI's inability to handle it. Specifically, the F-4E's inner pylon has so many bomb options that @1080p there are options clipping off the screen. Screen shots provided of the two weapon drop down menus. You can clearly see on the 1080 p version, the bomb list cuts off at the GBU-10, but in the 1440p version, it continues to show the remaining options.

Within the last week I want to say I suddenly started getting some semi consistent crashes on longer flights. Wasn't an issue until recently, as I got a few weeks there without much an issue. Two logs attached, which as best I can tell are giving the same error. Will upload any other crash logs that come up. Will say a big point of note, the earlier crash caused me to get awful frustrated, so I updated my drivers and popped a bunch of the recommended fixes. I think the game lasted a bit longer before it happened, but it still happened. Both incredibly similar flights on the same server and same mission, flew out to an area, pre-tanked, then started flying CAP when it suddenly crashed. Asked my human WSO if he'd done anything he think might of caused it and he's uncertain. He didn't crash, else I'd throw some logs from him. dcs.log-20240621-231217.zip dcs.log-20240622-010727.zip

It was accelerated in the navy, buy the airforce suffered from similar problems due to improper storage and rough ground handlers.

I really think the personality is fine. I can say I certainly prefer Jester's chatter to Petrovich. Of course Jester is just better fleshed out in general, but still. I can see how someone might not like Jester, sure, but it's not that big a deal.

We've received nothing official at all on a release frame. Pessimists think next year, most think late this year, but we've got nothing official at all.

Announcing the F-4 Phantom for DCS World!
Czechnology replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
The cockpit scanning pictures are from quite awhile ago. Posted first to Facebook in July of last year, and like someone said probably weren't posted right away. -
They have actually directly mentioned I'm their discord that they are modeling a starter cart, so I'd imagine yes.

Gentlemen. You might be wondering why I've decided to bring this post back. It's simple. Much like a planetary orbit, we're coming back around. The theory is BACK ON. ALL CHIPS ON THE THEORY.
