  1. Was it the warthunder leak?
  2. The software used to simulate the meteor missile for truegrit looks to be Ansys Fluent However, I do not know what software HB uses to simulate the data for the eurofighter. Can anyone from the HB team or someone familiar to cfd software tell what is being used in the iris-t simulation?

  3. They already started work over 2-3 years ago, I don't think we will wait that long. hXOHrjE.mp4
  4. Already the ef had various system, I want more news showing at least that it is being swapped to. hXOHrjE.mp4
  5. We have f4e, now where is the Eurofighter news?
  6. Probably for targets to be more quickly identified
  7. We likely wont get it in dcs, since it is such a big step up (colour imagery, 3d imaging, etc) but if we get pirate, we can overlay the raster image over the hmd, giving a night vision capability over the forward side and top sections of the aircraft.
  8. For context, the lower bar is showing the terrain avoidance/following system
  9. It has it EFTechGuideENG-1109.pdf null
  10. Eurofighter has a hud rwr similar to the f18 and av8b
  11. Or we could use the original stryker nve system
  12. Likely a recording camera, seeming that a jhmcs can fit one in the similar size https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/natosource/video-dutch-f-16s-intercept-russian-su-34-jets-over-baltic-sea/
  13. Eurofighter pilot with lilibile g suit https://youtu.be/0wrJTYiWv6E?si=GwVob5fabbufxItY
  14. Might be sight cameras like the f35
  15. Thats the reflection from the hud
  16. That is the stryker 2 hmd. That is the nvg upgrade. The stryker 1 and 2 are completely different helmet. https://www.baesystems.com/en/product/typhoon-helmet https://www.baesystems.com/en/multimedia/striker-ii-display
  17. I don't think it is, since it would be blocked by the visor
  18. https://www.alsa.mil/mttps/jfire/
  19. The gbu 48 has no Hight of burst senor. If you are referring to the paveway 4, they do have a HOB senor they likely use in such a manner
  20. Yes, the prf can be changed midflight, as shown in the JFIRE text https://www.scribd.com/document/666326386/Tab-3-Jfire-2022-World-wide-Review-Final-Draft "GBU-16:Laser-guided, free-fall weapon with a 1,000lbMk-83 or BLU-1560109 bomb body. Laser codes are only preflight selectable." "(4) GBU-48 Enhanced Paveway II:Dual-mode laser/GPS-aided INSfree-1562fall weapon using the 1,000lbMk-83 bomb body." The fact that they specify that the gbu 16 cannot change its laser code while they never mention any such limitation on the gbu 48 leads on to recognize that the gbu 48 is capable of changing the laser code midflight, especially since this document will likely be used by jatac for the laser designation of targets.
  21. What is the purpose of the center dot on the hmss? Is it a daylight sensor? It is blocked by the visitors so I believe it is.null
  22. But they seem to still have airburst option, although it might be based off target distance using gps rather than radar altimeter. https://defense-update.com/20171219_gbu-48.html https://www.defenceprocurementinternational.com/Content/Profiles/junghans-defence/bombfuze-fbm21-datasheet.pdf http://proceedings.ndia.org/5560/thursday/session_iv-a/pinel.pdf
  23. It seems that the gbu 48 might use a similar system as the gbu 24, where the laser code can be defined by the pilot in the aircraft if they have a data connection or can use ground defined laser code if they lack a data connection. So the gbu 48 should be able to have its laser code changed in flight, as well as be able to change gps targets midflight. http://www.midkiff.cz/obj/firma_produkt_priloha_1_soubor.pdf http://proceedings.ndia.org/5560/thursday/session_iv-a/pinel.pdf https://www.defenceprocurementinternational.com/Content/Profiles/junghans-defence/bombfuze-fbm21-datasheet.pdf https://raytheon.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=43&item=519
