Recommend a head tracker that does not need to be worn, called: Aimxy Z
ZON replied to ZON's topic in Input Devices
Neither Pro clip nor Base Ball Cap clip is used. Look at the performance of AimxyZ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCUo6C1H7sk- 20 replies

Disclaimer: I have not received any promotional fees from Aimxy, and they do not seem to have any active overseas marketing plans. I just hope more people can use this fantastic product. If you don't mind carrying a lot on your head, please ignore my suggestion.- 20 replies

ZON replied to ZON's topic in Input Devices
Because it is not difficult to wear nothing, but it is very difficult to achieve the performance of wearing something without wearing anything. I have tried all the best possible cameras with OpenTrack's neuralnet, and their performance is not as good as AimxyZ. If you are willing to try it one day, I believe you will agree with me.- 20 replies

If you are willing to try new things, you should try AimxyZ, which performs much better than Opentrack's neuralnet, uses less CPU, has lower lag, higher accuracy, is suitable for larger screens, and can support a distance of more than 2.5 meters. The simplest description: AimxyZ is like Trackir 5 pro (No damn Fake) but without wearing anything. You can see more here: https://www.youtube.com/@aimxyz- 20 replies

Usefull hardware / software links.
ZON replied to Groove's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Like DCS, Aimxy's networking is just a startup verification. After successful startup, you can disconnect from the network. The verification data is less than 1K, so there is no need to worry about security issues. Recently they uploaded an English instruction video, you can take a look if you are interested -

Sensing accuracy, lag, static stability, and low-light capabilities are all significantly better than Opentrack's neuralne. It can be seen as a Trackir 5 Pro that does not require wearing anything. -
@imacken I have used Trackir 5 for many years and Tobii 5 for more than a year. I won’t describe the differences in detail. Please watch the video below: AimxyZ's simplest evaluation is: It's like Trackir 5 without wearing anything. As the video below shows, I also wear glasses, and Tobii 5 is more or less affected by them, but AimxyZ solves this problem by simply placing the device in a corner of the screen. AimxyZ's online verification is just for anti-piracy, just like DCS. You can monitor the behavior of their software with network monitoring software. My test results show that it is only a few bytes, and after the successful startup, it no longer needs the network, which is the same as DCS. Of course, if you look at things with natural prejudice, you will not have an objective conclusion. The verification server of DCS is in Russia. If you are politically prejudiced, you should refuse to play DCS now, right?

I have been using it for almost 2 years and now recommend Aimxy Z, a head tracker that does not require wearing anything. The simplest description of how it feels: It is like a Trackir 5 without having to wear anything. It has low lag and high accuracy and can be used with glasses or headphones. It is better than Tobii 5, Opentrack, SmoothTrack, AITrack, ViewTracker, and FaceTrackNoIR. Available on Amazon in the US and Europe. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYKFDWXN https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0CQNPM7TJ -
For a solution that doesn't require a headset, I recommend trying Aimxy, a new and original brand. I've used Trackir for a few years, Tobii for a few months, and now I'm using Aimxy Z Head Tracker, which is the only product that has the same overall effect as Trackir without having to wear anything. Some comments said that because this product software needs to be connected to the Internet when it is started, I used a network tool to test it and confirmed that the data volume of less than 1k bytes is not enough to transmit any picture or anything that may involve privacy.

Ok, thanks for your advice. This is my first time posting on the DCS forum. I just recently started playing DCS again. I was playing FS2020 before.

I like F-4E very much. I used to spend more time playing FS2020. Because of F-4E, I now play DCS more.

I have been using Trackir 5 pro for over ten years, and since Trackir was finally killed, a few months ago I started looking for his successor. I found 3 videos introducing Aimxy on youtube, one of which was produced and released by the famous Grim Reapers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87BxAVoE560 The other is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IdYI5BPsXU AimxyZ Instruction Video https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdUnDP95-lOD-porFgKimV4UAMvPYuqcm The Amazon link is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYKFDWXN You can see many people’s comments on the link I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X7FQJHZ If you're in Europe, you can buy it here: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0CQNPM7TJ Before buying, I tried some interesting solutions, such as ViewTracker and Beam Eye Tracker on Steam, the mobile app SmoothTrack, and Opentrack's neuralnet, and finally, I even bought a Tobii5. Although they all do not need to wear anything on the head, they all have problems with insufficient accuracy and too much lag. None of them can come close to the experience of Trackir. Finally, I purchased an AimxyZ. After receiving the product, I opened the product’s official website: http://z.aimxy.com Downloaded and installed the software, and adjusted AimxyZ according to Manual. Since I wear glasses, I placed it in the lower right corner of my screen as the instructions suggest. AimxyZ only requires CPU and not GPU. My computer CPU is 12900 without K. When AimxyZ's engine is set to the maximum, Lag will be the least. Then on the Config page, reduce the Smooth of Rotation and Position to 1-2. I feel that my AimxyZ is working like Trackir, but I don’t need to wear anything, and I won’t lose sensing because the head angle is too large. , and the sensing will not be interrupted due to collision between two points of the light holder at a specific angle. In particular, the AimxyZ can be used in darker environments. I only have a low-bright desk lamp turned on in my room, but the AimxyZ works very well without any issues. Because using the camera and starting the software requires an Internet connection, some people may be worried about privacy issues. I did a test according to the plan introduced by others: "I ran Wireshark capture to see if there was anything sending back to the server, but there was none. Which means you can play without the internet as long as you pass the first "validation" process." I really like the feeling of high precision, high sensitivity, and low Lag without wearing anything. Although I am also using VR to play DCS now, I use AimxyZ more often. I sincerely recommend this product to everyone. Disclaimer: I have not received any promotional fees from Aimxy, and they do not seem to have any active overseas marketing plans. I just hope more people can use this fantastic product.
