  1. Thank you for diving deeper, NineLine, just don't forget to pull up eventually I looked at Google Maps, there the images have a high enough quality to make out the old runway pattern. Together with some triangulation, you can reconstruct the original length. See original and overlays - it's indeed more than 2400 ft from turn circle center to center:
  2. Hi ED, very nice to see the Marias WWII map finally! Waited so long for it. However, I believe the Pagan Airstrip is a bit too short. See screenshots. If I assume historic map and ingame map are at the same scale (should be at least, although there is a slight offset it seems), the runway is at least 2300 ft rather than 1800 ft. If I use the roads as orientation, the airstip is even longer and slightly more shifted landward (I replicated the purple line). Is it possible the current airstip length has been salvaged from the original current-day Marianas map? There the airstrip has been truncated due to the volcanic eruption and lava flow in 1981 to be just above 1700 ft, which would match to the current ingame version. Also the ground texture and mesh look like that there are still remains from the eruption which has yet to take place. I believe the runway in 1944 must be longer, I have troubles in landing there in one piece.
  3. I did a file check+repair (dunno if there was something). Did the mission again. kneeboard & preset was correct (Ch 6, 305.50). However still could not establish contact to Arco-31. Tired it after takeoff, after ROTKO, directly after refueling at Texaco-41, in the waiting loop at BLUE RIDGE and on the way back before and after ROANOKE. Also got visual on him again. This guy just doesn't respond. Has he a damaged antenna? Sleeping on autopilot during active duty? Does he hate me or is he just a prick? (Or is it a coalition thing? Did ED changed something? There was an update earlier this week.) Well, I saved a bit more fuel this time so I made it back home. If he is there in the next missions, I can try to talk to him again. Perhaps he just had a bad day...
  4. Nope, it's not an UHF/VHF thing nor keybinding. No problems with anything else. The UHF indication illuminates also in the DED when doing a call, so it is used correctly. Don't have any mods either. I'll try tomorrow again, perhaps i can figure something out. Very weird.
  5. Had a similar problem. Went Bingo while weaseling and was worried that I could not even make it back to Texaco-41's orange track. I diverted to Arco-31 as he luckily passed my path but I could not establish contact. Used UHF and he should be on Ch 6. In the kneeboard is indicated that Ch 6 has a different frequency than the cockpit preset, but even using the frequency in the kneeboard didn't work. I panicked and tried all Amber-frequencies to contact him but he ignored me. I went dry behind his tail. Poor story, tried a road-landing like the Hornets, but with an F-16 and no thrust... didn't went very well.
