Hi, My phone is now the only place I can login so I may not be able to reply for long if it too requires authentication soon... Accessing the forum on my phone has asked for Google authenticator app code....this thing is always a nightmare in my experience. I have set it up but the forum just won't accept any of the codes it produces....any ideas? Id hate to leave the forum but quite honestly it's not my bank account and spending 2hrs to access a forum isn't my idea of fun

Hi , I'm the SIM officer at an air cadets sqn- we use fly Elise in a three projector set up- it is problematic to say the least, but..... Your screen alignment looks great, are you sure you have 270', with our three projectors we have built a rig with 180' it's hard to tell from the video but yours looks about 190' ( I'm sure you have checked all this) try changing that number, even if the screen is 270' , changing that number will alter the view and might help. I'm about to switch our SIM from P3d to dcs due to the endless P3d problems , I'll let you know when I have it sorted and see if I can help

It looks to be ai trigger zones in the mission, as soon as you delete them it's all relatively smooth again.....

Great suggestion mate, it's definitely the ai triggers.....

F-5E Remastered FPS issue after the last patch?
les replied to FZG_Immel's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok, by working gradually building up a mission, the main issue is ai triggers and zones, when you introduce them it causes a huge slowdown, as soon as you delete the triggers it speeds up again; that's for the F1; haven't tried the f5e yet. Suggestion was from someone on another thread, great idea to try. Doesn't help us if we want to use it in missions but at least we know where the problem is -
Just tried a mission- no ai triggers but did put a few units in- I think that could be it! Performance largely back to normal, I would say it's still much worse than before the update but sort of playable if i turn everything down ( although with this problem, turning down other settings doesn't have that much effect) For reference my setup is 64g ram, Ryzen 9 7900, Radeon 6950xt red devil, quest 2 headset using virtual desktop I'll work the test mission up gradually and see where it gets worse....

Ok,that's interesting - I'm not really sure where to start with trying to fix it.....

Hi all, I posted about this in the main bugs section- F1 is unplayable for me too ( i use vr so it's even worse , I would say 2 FPS!!) Was all fine before the last update. The F5 also has suffered to the point where I don't fly it, but it's nowhere near as bad as the F1 . I have tried changing all sorts of settings and vr stuff as I had assumed it was a vr problem but nothing works... Les I have the same when bringing up the esc menu- I can then pan around with a lovely high frame rate

I've just had this start on the mb339, haven't tested anything yet but turning radios off / on, squelch , nothing got rid of it. Im only using the built in voice chat

VR headset removal resilient - Quest (maybe same fate on other devices)
les replied to ssamayoa's topic in DCS Core Wish List
We used to have this problem, I'll try to remember how we solved it. I think the basic settings in the headset might have done it- set the behaviour to never sleep. Then although the screens go black, it stays live and doesn't crash..... -

Thanks for the reply- I'll post you the log and track replay plus settings.. Many thanks

Ok, looks like a vr problem, Meta has also dropped an update, I'll work back and try to find the problem. Interestingly memory usage jumps to 96% when I switch to these aircraft....64gb system

Settings are not too ambitious......I've had this setup for over a year, runs very well high end pc FPS dropped from a very smooth 60 odd in vr, to a complete mess overnight.... I'll try the shaders though, thanks

Hi all, There are a couple of posts on this but so far I have found that the frame rate drops to around 2 FPS on both these aircraft as soon as the game is un-paused. All maps are affected, even a blanc map so not related to unit density. Interestingly these are my only two aircraft that have radar, so don't know if that's the issue? Other complex models such as the av8b, are fine..... Audio has gone funny too! Les
