Thanks for that information. It doesn't exist in any of the other warbirds, including the FW 190 D9. That's why I thought maybe something was wrong.

I understand it's impossible to give 100% accurate advice on things like this, because it depends on expectations, personal preferences and budgets. That's why places like this is good because you often get different options from people, I like that. I didn't mention any budget because it's not that important to me regarding these amounts. You can get a new 5700x3d from AliExpress for around 160$. Of course it would be better to upgrade to a later model CPU but then I also need a new mb, ram and probably a new gpu if I wanna take full advantage of the upgrades. Now we're talking about a lot more money and that's more than I want to spend right now. I just want to extend the life of my current rig and reduce some of the stuttering. I have no problem spending the amount for a new build when it's really necessary but as it is now I am still pretty happy. Btw, my mb is an Asus ROG Strix X570-f. I really appreciate your effort in helping out. Thanks a lot. Thanks, I appreciate your opinions. I gonna give it all a thought before I make any decisions.

Thanks , I really appreciate your help in this. I am not really looking for more FPS but a smoother game since I only play in VR and I thought the x3d models did a good job with that? And to clarify, because I might have misunderstood things. When I said I was hoping I could wait until AM6, to make a complete new build, I meant to wait until the CPU that is coming after the 9000 series. I probably mixed up Zen 6 and AM6. As you understand I am not an expert regarding computers, lol.

That's part of the problem, all these benchmarks don't say much since the difference between games are so big. I really wish they included DCS. Another thing is that I only play in VR and that is also different (I guess). I don't necessarily need more FPS but a smoother game, and if I understand it correctly, the x3d cpu:s is doing a good job with that.

I am thinking if this upgrade will allow me to skip upgrading the CPU again until AM6? Or is the difference from the 5800x I already have so small that it won't make any difference? It's a rather small cost if it would allow me to skip AM5 and then do a complete new build when AM6 arrive. Depending on how Nvidia's 5000 series turn out, it's possible I might get one of those later next year. I play in VR, singleplayer only and I am actually pretty happy with my performance this far. Maybe this is just a stupid idea, what do you think?

Is it only me that have this bright red/orange edge around the canopy? It looks very unnatural to me but maybe that's correct?

New Look and Feel for the South Atlantic map
Customizer171 replied to Raz_Specter's topic in South Atlantic
I asked the same question on Reddit and got a reply from the guy who made this map. He assured that he will not "abandon" this map. I can't verify if it's true or not, but it was good enough for me. 35$ isn't a lot of money so I bought it. -
The map is released as early access. When is it expected to be complete? I understand it will be hard to give an exact time, but are we talking about a few months or several years?

It sure looks like one, hahaha.

Thanks! Appreciate it very much.

Hello folks, I would appreciate if someone could tell what this is on the lower left side of the instrument panel? It pulsate and vibrate when the engine is running.

Next Level Racing Boeing Military simulator seat
Customizer171 replied to MA_Goblin's topic in Home Cockpits
Looks nice. My only concern is that the cable connection is very exposed and could easily get damaged. My solution to this problem wasn't very good looking but it works. I have now been thinking if it would not be possible to mount the stick base with the front facing backward (to protect the cable) and then reverse the axis in the software? Just an idea that might work? -

I have nothing else to compare to, but in my opinion the NLR Boeing Military Edition isn't very comfortable. I'm 6'3 and 100kg and my butt is hurting after a 2 hour gaming session. However, I don't think this seat can be bought alone. They have a new model out now and that seat can be bought, but I think that's different model. Hopefully more comfortable. -

Hello, it was probably my pictures you have seen. It worked great since I already had the MonsterTech mounts, but I wouldn't recommend buying it for using this solution. You can use the existing parts from the NLR kit to build a good mount, just need to buy some small parts, two angle brackets and a piece of wood. That's what I did and this is how it looks. -

I used a thin plywood because it made it easier to get the holes right with my hand held drilling machine. It's very difficult to drill absolutely straight through 25-30 mm. If the holes are just a little bit angled, the screws won't fit in the GF base which has tight tolerances. This way I could use the original screws. It also makes it easy to make small adjustments of the position. I felt it was necessary to have the cable nook to protect it from accidents when getting in and out of the pit since it's not a lot of space when the center hotas plate is attached. -

I am happy with the result and it makes it possible to use the center hotas plate. The Gunfighter base is attached to a 5 mm thick plywood plate with the the original mounting screws. The "angled bracket" is included in the set. It's actually the original joystick bracket. I didn't attach the joystick plate (the Gunfighter don't fit anyway). Instead of mounting it vertically as it meant to be, I mounted it horizontally, from the crossbeam to the back, in under the seat. On top of this square bar I attached a 25 mm thick piece of wood with two angle iron. I had to drill two holes in the square bar for this, the bolts and nuts is from the set. You can see this in the top photo. I also had to drill four holes in the top of this thicker piece of wood to allow the 5 mm plywood with the GF base, to be mounted flat on top of the 25 mm piece of wood. The original GF base screws is sticking out 5 mm, that's why I had to drill holes in the thicker wood. The 5 mm plywood with the joystick base is then (after deciding the correct distance) fixed to the thick wood plate with a couple of screws. It's a very simple diy that is solid and cheap to make. I already had the wood and spray paint, so only had to buy the two angle iron for around 1,5 EUR. I hope it all makes sense or just ask and I will do my best to clarify. -

I have now finished my new idea, and here is a picture of what I tried to explain in my text. Hopefully it makes things easier to understand. -

I am sure there are better ways to do it than my solution but it was a quick fix since I already had the MonsterTech. It's actually very stable and adjustable but the main reason for me to try another solution is that it's blocking the way a bit, when I enter and exit the seat. I also want to use the center hotas plate. The explanation of my new idea wasn't the best but I get a picture of it when it's done. It will be DIY but nothing complicated, basically bolting a mounting plate to an existing square bar.
