  1. I have JF-17, F-16 and Su-27/33. Primarily play Viper in A2A role and have about 200 hours in it. I'm available on Friday & Sunday and I'm willing to learn, read the document and will turn up to trainings and ops if possible. My goal is to join a semi-realistic squadron that does PVP / PVE against near-peer adversary as part of their Ops. I don't mind having to mod to bring the current REDFOR aircrafts available in DCS to the level equal that of BLUFOR or playing a wacky scenario that pitted BLUFOR aircraft against each other. I just don't want having to fight just AI Currently own Persian Gulf & Syria but I'm willing to buy additional terrains / map if the Ops of that particular time required it
  2. For some reason when mapping it to RDR Cursor / TDC slew control in DCS I couldn't get the cursor to slew to whatever position I want it to go. The cursor keep moving diagonally and no amount of dead-zone setting work...Meanwhile I never have any problem with the slew control on the MCG & default mapping work just fine. Could anyone help me to figure out this problem, or send me their STECS's mini-stick curve setting?
  3. Winwing MAN RNG knob has a 5 way HAT on top of it as WW aimed for versatility, also Jeff use the same type of throttle as the F-16 but on the Jeff the MAN RNG knob is removed and was replaced by a 4-way HAT. If you are looking for a purist, true to realism F-16 throttle and don't mind the price, go for TQS, otherwise WW is a better option, cost and usage wise
  4. Its the pick your poison thing...if you want Western replica sim peripheral then they are the only one in the market for that. Thrustmaster is pure garbage for the outrageous price & has worse quality ( stemmed from outdated design & components. See my post above for more details )
  5. Try bring this on r/hotas & the hotas discord community https://discord.gg/szqaJE7. There are WW people there with better understanding of English so maybe you will get better support there than on WW site' customer support. Until WW opened a warehouse in the US & have the local as representative for their brand then there's not much you can do
  6. TM is no better either. On the contrary, TM charge you an outrageous price for an inferior product with less functionality than WW ( I'm talking about the TM F-16 TQS that cost 550 USD compared to WW 330 ). Virpil / VKB also first ask you to open their devices for a self-diagnosis and replace broken components as well. And if you can't do that then you can ask them for a refund, only differences here is these 2 brands are well-established in the flight sim community & has a far older history in flight sim peripheral market than WW, has better logistic as both VKB / Virpil has warehouse in EUR & The US, and thus have better customer support. Meanwhile, WW still stuck with having people with poor grasp of English as their customer support & is still in the process of opening up a warehouse in US. Also, the leadership of VKB / Virpil are Westerner with an already good understanding of how business is conducted in the West, WW AFAIK is mostly Chinese owned and they have a different business culture there compared to the West Bottom line is, if you want to have a Hornet or F-15 or F-16 replica sim peripheral then Winwing is your only choice. TM F-16 throttle is pure garbage for its money, their joystick base can't be customized and overprice compared to what is currently in the market. Meanwhile, WW base can be adjusted with extra cam and spring. TM Warthog is known for <profanity>ty switches, and it took them a decade to replaced the TDC slew with a better one. Pick your poison
  7. I encountered this issue just today after I finished updating my game to 2.9. In both single & multiplayer I encountered severe micro-stuttering with my FPS only maxing out at 60 compared to normally ~90 or so, a severe increased in GPU render latency ( 40% compared to <10% of what it used to be ) and my 1% FPS dropped down to 1-3 even though it used to always hover just ~30 FPS below my normal FPS level. Also, random 1-2s freeze while flying. I don't have any background programs open while playing aside from softwares such as SRS & TrackIR & program for my HOTAS. I did a test in which I turned off all of the mentioned above programs and still encountered the same problem. The issue only stopped after I opened DCS without "Administrator" privilege. I also compared my computer workload between running with "Administrator" privilege and without. It seems like aside from a massive reduction in fps, 1% fps and GPU render latency, all other metrics ( including the CPU & RAM usage ) seem to be about the same as each other For my setup, I have a 3070, I7 12700, 64gb DDR4 3600, a 1T Samsung 970 SSD and with all of the drivers up-to-date Can anyone help me with this or let me know what caused this issue?
  8. Hi guy. Like the title said, I'm looking to join any squadron that participating in competitive tournament like SATAC / SATAL. I'm mostly available on Friday & Saturday, and have a total of about 200 hours in the F-16 & JF-17 in A2A role
  9. I see this post like this on reddit, and it is similar to what is happening to me as of the moment. So is E.D still hasn't fix up the Viper FCR system yet?
  10. Hi. Can anyone explain to me as to why the display of contact on my F-16 radar only show up as yellow bricks? I can identify friendly & foes using the Datalink just fine but the moment I steer my radar to look up these contacts, they all turned into yellow brick. I tried IFF & switching radar mode but the result is still the same. Can anyone explain to me what went wrong here and how can I make my radar display less ambiguous and more like the examples that are shown in Youtube tutorial vid? The display of contacts I seen on these youtube tutorial is much better and I can clearly distinguish between "Tracked" & "System" target. Meanwhile the one I'm having right now make it impossible for me to figure out whether or not I have successfully bugged a contact I attached 2 pictures below for better reference
  11. I know that, just want to know how can the Viper does it. In other jet if the contact fall outside of the radar azimuth scan, it will no longer be able to track that contact for an AIM-120 shot
  12. Hey guy. I'm new to the Viper and have a question about its radar function. I noticed that when bugging a target in RWS, I can move my radar to a different direction and the radar still track a target outside of its scan azimuth. Can someone explain to me how can the F-16 FCS is still able to track a target for an AIM-120 launch despite the radar isn't scanning the target?
  13. How so? I though the ring as displayed in the "Jeff" HSD can be interpret as "Outer-ring = non-lethal" & "Inner-ring = Lethal" & the inner-most ring only function is to act as a compass I understand that since the RWR gauge radar signature intensity, it could be misleading as something like the Tomcat or Eagle with its powerful radar can be seen as lethal by the RWR despite the aircraft still outside of AIM-120 employment range
  14. Could you elaborate more on "other than they may be able to detect that they're being scanned faster than usual". Do you mean that STT lock in ASM / NAM could produce a RWR warning that they are being tracked faster than STT in TWS?
  15. I'm still confused about the different between RWS & TWS. If both RWS & TWS can perform the same thing ( bugged a target without produce lock warning for the enemy and DTT ) then isn't TWS is much better than RWS due to its ability to provide track ( vector ) of aircraft within its scan's zone?
