This idea holds merit, and it would be beneficial for ED to take it a step further by introducing duration modifiers to key binds. This would allow assigning a key to a function with options for triggering on short press, long press, or only while holding. This feature could enhance VoIP functionality and be applied to various other functions. For instance, it could prevent accidental activation of critical functions by assigning them to a "long" press, such as "Gear down." This approach could optimize button allocation and streamline operations. While unrelated to the printing press, this feature request focuses on expanding functionality within the sim.
