  1. if i remember correctly you need to have an AWACS in the air, and able to spot your target. also make sure the launcher is set to "red state" and ROE set to free.
  2. i found that generally the composition of SAM sites does not matter, as long as a Search radar is the leader, there is a track radar in the group, and it has launchers, it will work. the CP, or generators or other auxiliary systems are not really modeled, so even if you dont add those, or add them add the end, or place them as a separate group, your sam site will stil work. you can for instance set up the Patriot site just fine without the ECS and EPP trucks. here is how i set up CH's Patriot site, oh yea, im also just quickly putting them down now, normally i would have them further apart, or ontop of revetments from this mod pack
  3. Always make sure the search or search and track radar is the leader of the group, not the CP (Blame DCS), then click on the group, and in advanced waypoint options, add ROE=Weapons free as well as ALARM STATE=RED i always add the option Engage air weapons as well. EDIT: i added pictures of how i have the S-350 set up.
  4. i launch from steam with it set to open beta, and for me CH's mods work just fine. do with that as you wish.
  5. are you guys using Open Beta branch of DCS, because i do, and all my mods work just fine, which include all of CH's mod packs.
  6. i believe High Digit Sam pack has a SAMP/T in it
  7. did you download the RWR/HARM ID mod, and install it in the CORE game folder? (not in the save game folder)
  8. I do not appear to have any issues with the Su-30 myself, im using the latest 2.7.98b version of the Su-30 mod, and i have no issues using any of the weapons with DCS open Beta, im also using the CSW addon for the Su-30 which changes how the weapons work, so maybe that's it?
  9. 1K17 "Szhatie" is a self-propelled laser vehicle of Soviet origin. The platform uses a modified T-80U chassis with a battery of laser projectors mounted in the turret. It was developed by the Soviet Union in order to disable the optical-electronic equipment of enemy missiles, ground and aerial vehicles. only 2 were ever built, 1 got scrapped. the other one is displayed in a military museum, but it has the laser emitters themselves removed. so it just lookes like a very boxy rocket launcher.
  10. did you happen to alter atmospheric conditions for this mission? because this happens to me too, but only if i faff around with the Dynamic weather stuff. i think it has something to do with air pressure at given altitudes.
  11. the modernized Pantsir's 57E6M missile has a surface ceiling of 18KM or 60.000ft AGL. so overflying it is probably not a good idea. the modernized TOR missile apparently has a max ceiling of 10km and a range of 16km. so you should be able to pass above it at like 33.000ft AGL
  12. you might want to check out and keep an eye on this mod page: the dong feng land based missile linked there is a pack that includes the DF-15, 16, 17, 26 and 41 not all ships he is working on are currently posted, but the ones that are. are pretty sweet. i cant wait for that 003 carrier that's in the pictures.
  13. My guess is, Its the M3A3 Cavalry variant. Less passenger seats, But more storage for TOW missiles.
  14. Type 056 corvette (NATO reporting name: Jiangdao-class corvette) maybe?
  15. i don't think the Tu-160 carries dumb bombs. but if you are looking for more loadout options for the Tu-160 it does have the ability to carry the Kh-15 (NATO AS-16 Kickback) which is a nuclear aero ballistic missile. that weapon does have non nuclear variants called the Kh-15P and Kh-15S which are anti radiation and anti ship respectively. the weapon can also be carried by the Tu-95MS-6 upgrade and onward. so if you do eventually model the Kh-15, you can equip your Tu-95msm with it too.
  16. you are not doing the M3 TEL and low altitude radar? the full missile system looks like this many people have mistaken the 12 round slave launcher to being the reloading vehicle. the reloading vehicle is on the left in this picture reloading the 6 round TELAR
  17. which Ground Launched AShM. the Bastion-P in the Russia pack also comes with a Monolit-B search and track radar. if you are using the BAL anti ship missile, you also use the Monolit-B search and track radar. make sure the Monolit-B is the first vehicle in the group. and yea set alarm state to RED to force the radar on at mission start. its seems that anti ship missiles can only be fired in a salvo of about 4-6 missiles, per AWACS aircraft. so more AWACS on your side means a larger volley of anti ship missiles, as long as the target ships are within range for the AWACS.
  18. go to CH's website. and click "Primary download" for the country you want, then when you get redirected to dropbox and click the big "download" button. it will literally download that entire map. so for Russia, if i click primary download, and then the big download button. it downloads all the Russian mods listed there, in one go. example
  19. oh if you ever think about doing the Mi-28N and its newer Mi-28NM variant, which can also use the LMUR missile. it has the 2 way datalink antenna integrated into its revised nose cone. pic of the differences between the 28N and 28NM
  20. Hey CH, i watched the Grim reapers video showing off your Ka-52, and in it you mentioned some things about the Ka-52M including that it has a new Radar which it uses with the LMUR missile. and while it is true it has a new radar, it is not what it uses to fire the LMUR missile. i just wanted to point out it uses a Datalink pod to fire LMUR missiles. here are some pics of it.
  21. The 9m96 missile is active radar, meaning the missile has its own tracking radar, and its own guidance computer. The missile only needs to be directed by the radar in the first phase of flight. in its midcourse flight it uses INS guidance to go to a location, or DataLink guidance from other assets (such as AWACS) in its terminal phase the missile it uses its own radar to acquire the target and its own guidance computer to guide it towards that target, the missile also lofts. which means its likely going to be above you in its terminal phase making terrain masking very difficult.
  22. do you plan on making other variants of the Tigr, like the one that has both a PKP and AGS 30 grenade launcher, the Remote Weapon Station variant. and of course the Kornet-D variant?
  23. I believe the only difference between a Ship launched versus Sub launched Kaliber missile is the booster. on the top you can see the ship launched sub sonic version. the booster is steered by thrust vectoring. the bottom one is a Sub launched version, its booster is steered by grid fins. here are some pictures of the Supersonic second stage variant specifically. 3m54K with grid fin steered booster. the missile is a little obstructed but its also a 3M54K, note the booster without grid fins. i think differences in launch platform might be designated with a number, in the picture above the 2 missiles are both 91PE missiles, the one left is the 91PE1 and the right is a 91PE2. both designations are the same weapon. but the one on the left is ship launched, whilst the one on the right is sub launched
  24. Hey [CH] I wanted to point out that the Anti Ship Missile fired by your Russian ships have the incorrect name. its currently called 3M54T but the in game model is that of a 3M54K. It also has the wrong flight profile for a 3M54K or 3M54T, But i assume this is due to DCS limitations. the 3M54K has a Subsonic flight, but a Supersonic second stage in its terminal phase. The actual 3M54T looks just like the land attack variant and is also subsonic:
