  1. im not sure what it used to do but i believe it did the stored alignment, i have a video of it here, as you can see i just autostart it and go and everything works fine
  2. it must have been changed in a recent update then because i have done this 100s of times with no issue i did quick run through where i watched the alignment knob and yes you are correct, it does use the normal alignment perhaps it used to use the stored alignment? either way, maybe ED could look at making the autostart use the stored alignment, or put it back to how it was before to whatever it was. im not autostarting the viper to sit there for ages waiting for the alignment, because if its not ready to go the autostart is not complete, it should only say that if it is ready, not autostart mostly complete but yes you are correct, wait for align to flash and then set it to nav, works, i still think it needs changing tho
  3. Just changed it to hot start, no problems at all. it's 100% the auto start
  4. it has to be something in the autostart, i've never manually started the jet, cause i'm lazy haha i have however 100's of times got in and autostarted with no issues in this video i did the same as i allways do. get in L Win + Home to start wait for "auto start complete" taxi out take off there are no special settings, no bindings, no different switch positions, no anythting, complete vanillia, load the map, autostart and go, ill see what i can do about a track for you
  5. so ive finally got round to filming again and so today i got stuck in but after hours of messing around i found out that things werent quite as they seem in the mission im on the apron, cold start at groom lake, i go through the normal auto start (L Win + Home) let everything complete, then i taxi out and take off, heading to steer point 1, except steer point one never came, and also on my HSD i was flying backwards down the steer point line! as in a was facing forward but flying backwards down the steer point line. so i thought i'd test the autopilot, stp and alt mode and it just randomly veers off so after many retests ive made a video of whats going on im not sure whats happend ive done heaps of these where i just put down points, start, take off and fly with no issues, all of a sudden its messed up not sure if its a bug or if im doing something wrong, anyway heres the video, hope you can help
  6. Yeah, basically, start DCS, check if it does it, restart, and seems to fix it temporarily
  7. Is anybody still getting it? I'm still getting it, internal and external. A friend of mine is also still having the issue This is my first time playing DCS in a fortnight, and I'm having to tweak settings. AGAIN. I hope for a fix soon
  8. ok, stupid question time, how do you use the autopilot? I've been flying around trying to figure it out, I've tried pushing shortcut keys, tried pressing "ap" on the ufc then selecting the modes I want, but it just keeps doing what it wants, no ap at all. I watched a growling sidewinder video that showed the FCS page with FCS auto but I don't see that either what am I missing?
  9. as far as I know, you are correct about the VSync thing my current settings, that are currently working ingame fps - unlimited in-game VSync - OFF NCP VSync - adaptive + All the other settings required to make this game run, mouse polling rate below 1000, hags off etc etc etc ad nausium
  10. worked like a charm, downloaded this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/47d2gu21874torf/F-22A Multi Player.7z?dl=0 opened the zip, grabbed the .dds file and dropped it into the zip in the new raptor (v3) folder and now we are away great catch, thank you so much for finding that!
  11. Nope, I mean VSync adaptive in the Nvidia CP here's the screenshot of the cp Perhaps your Nvidia control panel is out of date? maybe that is why you are not seeing it? I've had this option available for a while now, really not sure why you can't see it, could be a card thing, I'm on a 3090 if that helps here's the info on the settings, so you can see what it does the internal VSync for DCS does not work properly. it causes a little lag fps from every few seconds (even on menu screens), this issue has been reported in other threads along with video evidence and is easily repeatable, it has been present for several patches but ignored, of course... to get around the VSync drop issue I was using fps limit set to 60 but as per the previous posts in this thread that is now having issues as well, I have found that VSync adaptive in the control panel is about the only thing that works now I use it in a few other games, I've had great results with it, I'm really not sure why you cant see it in your panel I guess do an update maybe? its a great setting, I hope you can find out how to get it
  12. managed to bring it under control by doing everything suggested in this thread and then setting Nvidia cp vsync to adaptive for dcs.
  13. no quadviews either sorry!
  14. oh wow, thank you! That is a wealth of information I appreciate you taking the time to not only help out! I do agree that it's opening a can of worms but what you said is exactly the kind of info I was looking for and the videos are awesome, really helping build some good mental pictures on what to do, some of your times are next level, I never would have thought of flying it low res then filming high res, or even better using the slow-mo feature, I never would have thought of that!!! thanks again for your help really means a lot, to me, and I can't wait to dig in and try some of these tips and tricks out!
  15. no luck for me, my HAGS has been off since the last round of performance issues in a DCS update
