In the FWIW category. I just had to reinstall DCS and setup all the bindings again. First test mission started in mid-air and I decided to end with a carrier landing and had this issue. Turns out when I set up the pedal/toe-brake bindings I forgot to "Invert" them so I landed with full brakes. The plane did roll backwards but not enough to lessen the tension on the cable. All I had to do was push my pedals down (which effectively let OFF the toe brakes) and I immediately rolled back and the cable came off the hook.
