that must have been the issue. I removed the config folder and restarted, I also remapped all my bindings and it seems to be working. One thing to note, I added dead zone to the axis in Joystick Gremlin but it must not have taken, whe I added it to the axis in DCS controls it worked. I think all I needed was deadzone added to the DCS not JG Thanks a lot... that was driving me nuts.

Hi everyone, Been playing around with DCS BFM Trainer by Sedlo - PERSIAN GULF and moved on to using JTAC to laz my targets. I use the TDC to slew over to the grid given by JTAC, but it doesn't matter what grid I choose, when I depress the TDC, I get a small line under the 2 letters, and then is disappears. I've read a lot about dead zones but its not that. I started my DCS release, started a instant action mission, ready on the ramp, or whatever its named, and wen through the process to add a grid and it worked perfectly. Is there an easy fix for this? My open beta version is 2.9.3.51704 My Release version is 2.9.3.51704 Is there any way to fix this? Also, I reset my bindings on both versions and I still get the same result. Edit: After I wrote this, I tried a repair and that didn't help either. Its weird that the release is ok but ob is not. I'd expect it to be the opposite in this version anyway. thanks

Hi everyone. I am flying the Operation Plutonium made uploaded by !Spike. Everything seemed to be going well until I go the most recent update. I have had the same issue on both release and Open Beta. What I see when I do the cold start is the switch for the strobe is in the Brt position. sometimes, and I can't figure out when, the lights will work once I start the jet. I did notice the last time I go the lights to work was on Friday afternoon 12/8/23. I noticed as the strobe was flashing, I hit my binding for the Arresting hook to come down and as it came down it killed my lights. When I retracted the hook, the lights shimmered for a sec then came back on. This behavior seemed to be repeatable. Today, 12/9/23, no more lights... no matter what I do. Its not a binding issue because I have remapped everything and I have even went in with a blank profile and still nothing... Its def a hit or miss kind of thing. I started thinking it was because I didn't have the checkbox checked "Synchronize all cockpit with hotas at start" or something to that effect, you know the setting... Its in the Misc. category. I don't get it and there isn't a lot of chatter that I am seeing out there about this. Is there a fix for this? Any help would be great as I am driving myself nuts to get this working.... Now its just bugging me and I need to find the fix.... Maybe in the config file for the fa18c? I'll look there next. Thanks

Hi everyone. I normally don't post anything but I've had it up to my eyeballs with this 2.9 release even open beta is doing the same thing. here are my specs first off I5-12600k 32gb ram RTX2060OC edition Thrustmaster 16000M Hotas setup (Not the best but it has been working fine for over 2 yrs) Joystick Gremlin for mappings VR - Quest 2, remote desktop app and streamer app using the latest version of DCS and have tried both open beta and release. OK. So since this 2.9 has come out, I have had nothing but issues. As mentioned, I've seen the same issues in both versions. I use the hornet exclusively in DCS. If I go to instant action, run the mission cold and dark and start the mission... Mind you this doesn't matter if I am in VR or not. Nor does it matter if my joystick gremlin is in control of the mappings or not. As a matter of fact, I cleared out all the keyboard binds in the controls section and then ran the same mission and had the same result... If I start the jet, then press esc to go to the briefing for example, the mastermode for A/A turns on and nav is turned off. As I have mentioned it happens all the time now. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, reset headsets, wiped-out and rebuilt the joystick gremlin profile and in fact tried it without joystick gremlin and a cleared out set of keyboard bindings and the same issue.... its driving me to drink.... I have a swimming pool business and have winters off... I kill my time flying... This issue and others are making it almost unflyable. I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?
