  1. I have Quest 3 using OpenXR runtime. Hand tracking worked for me when I tried it a few months ago. Now I don't recall what settings were used to get it to work. Does anyone know if the meta developer mode is absolutely necessary for this? I don't believe I had that on when I had it work earlier. There are settings for this at device level, and DCS level so just confusing what's blocking it now..
  2. I just made this change to the file structure to prevent the upgrade to Oculus ver 63. If anyone is on Windows 11 and struggling with this change because of "Access denied" error, first login as Administrator in Windows, then rename the folders first, create the Staging.txt and tmp.txt files using file explorer. Once you do that then use cmd to rename Staging.txt to Staging (ren Staging.txt Staging) and also for tmp. To sign in as Administrator, I had to first run cmd "net user administrator /active:yes". Then when you click on the windows icons, you should see Administrator as a user you can switch to. Hopefully this will prevent updates to Oculus sw until the issues are resolved with DCS.
  3. Just saw this notice and missed the Spring sale… what a bummer
  4. I'm new to VR and DCS. Have been fiddling with these settings for a month now. Have a 4090 card with good CPU and memory and Q3. I find MSAA 4x the best but get fps of 45 with oculus set to 90. So my go to is MSAA 2x which gives me a consistent 80+ fps. The cockpit is nice and clear and edges are quite sharp. But in close air to air, the faster aircraft show ghosting artifacts even at 90 fps. Any ideas on how to reduce it? I do plan to try the DLSS that is available on MT version soon.to see if it's any better. A question, how do you activate foveated rendering, thru OpenXR toolkit?
  5. I mean hand controllers, not hand tracking. I don’t think I am familiar with how to check the axis binding, will fiddle with it to see if I can figure that out. But sounds likd DCS detects controller on its own and that probably is the reason why the behavior is not what the player expects. So, probably safer to keep the hand controllers disabled in DCS if using HOTAS. Thanks!
  6. My Warthog stick was not working well in VR Oculus. The axis controls didn’t work well, moved very little with the controls. Buttons worked well. After a lot of trial and error, my issue was due to the VR hand controls. In DCS config, I disabled the VR hand controls and the stick started working well again. Seems like under some conditions, the VR hand controls interfere with the HOTAS. Hope this is useful for anyone struggling with this, especially newbie like me.
