ive turned mine down to 50%, its very realistic (and annoying)

ive spent alot of time in the harrier in vr the last month or so... with a quest 3.. Im running at 1.5 pixel density, i find it only just barable to read, its taken getting used to and worse with DLSS on so sometimes take a second to clear up. I find changing the map text colour to dark blue helps. I always turn the mfds on fully, and have left the defualt gamma and brightness 50% in settings and seems to be.. bareable. I dont touch the gamma and contract buttons on the mfs, it just makes it worse. 50/50 is just the best. on the quest 3 settings i have the brightness down at 80% or something.. sunset and night time are the worst, set it to night mode and i cant see the screen clealy at all unless i put my face to it, and day mode makes it blinding bright lol but i will try just messing with the brighness knob instead The TPOD only starts getting locks on targets at about 10km or thereabouts range it seems, but i have been able to use the flir BH and WH to zoom for 50+ miles and make out easily potential targets, only really getting accurate targeting coordinates at around 20km (altitude depending) or as i said locks need to be a bit closer still

i also would like to say im enjoying this mission alot. Been playing it solo many times just for fun, so it feels less spur of the moment and pressured now but still enjoying the verticle landings, AA, varied targets etc. Last night i did something like this and achieved more in the mission than before.. I start by loading up 2 extra irmavs (4 total), swapped the tpod to a gun.. Shoot the bridge and the two nearby tanks with irmavs, use the sidewinders to get the 2shilkas, and the last mav for the incoming amphibious platoon.. They will then stop.. Go back to FOB and reload/refuel 40%.. swap out the sidewinders for 2xaim9, 4 more irmavs, and gun.. take off and get any remaining vehicles (shilkas if sidewinders missed, and couple tanks) nearby the bridge with the ir mavs, the choppers will then be incoming.. take them out with the aim-9's and gun, and use any remaining mavs on the remaining amphibious platoon.. go back and reload.. third reload i refuel and brought 4 irmavs again (have you noticed i like irmavs?) and this time 2xAG 500bl laser guided bombs. Yes one can take off from a farp with all that! I couldnt get the bombs to work with uzi, i think i upset them as they marked targets and ignored last round. And i forgot the tpod so useless.. I noticed the 10 min cooldown behaviour after shooting a platoon, so this time shoot a tank from the incoming east woodland to halt them, and use the remaining mavs to finish the now closely approaching amphibious platoon. Went back for the final reload to finish the incoming tanks, and fumbled the landing lol I would have needed 3 irmavs to finish the incoming tanks, and then theres a group of about 15 tanks stationed about 5 miles east... idk what i'll do about them but we will see soon ive had great fun with this mission 10/10. its a shame i cant have an ai wingman.

Your an ace. it was annoyingly easy to think i have been without dcs for what seems like a month already (a couple days) thank you again good sir, I had a good flight this morning in VR on my Q3 Actually i got a java error, but i just ignored it and DCS works, but i cant access the meta app to fumble settings. But I got whats important anyway i guess lol

The update finally hit me on my quest 3 today I only got VR because of dcs and only got it setup with pc upgrades and my first module a couple months ago Ironically spent half my time messing, and few days ago was attempting to negate the meta software entirely using just openxr but couldnt get it to work, I dont know what im doing really, so I CBA messing with meta userfiles, i can see how slap that meta software is, im miffed but hardly surprised. so will just be waiting patiently for the DCS update to roll around i guess.. NGL will be checking every day. My stupid quest 3 is already gathering dust....
