  1. A lot of views but no answers as yet. Could someone who does fly the Gazelle confirm if they make the selection to english that it remains peristant after DCS has been restarted? If i can confirm that, then i'll know if i need to figure out whats wrong my end or just live with it!!
  2. Hi All, I've got the mod installed for English labels. I can get it working ok. But, i cant make it persistant. If i change to English under special - After restarting it defaults back to default. Any suggestions on how to make it persistant please?
  3. Tried to change the brightness of the MFD's today for night flying. Got a bit of a mixed bag of results.. When directly at my PC - Only the Pilots inner MFD brightness button works. None of the others. If i remote RDP onto the pc and run the sim.. I can dim both pilot and copilot inner/outer MFD's..... baffles me!! Should they be working normally?
  4. Asked the question over the Virpil forum as well.. And it can be done.. Here is the answer which i was given, and it works. I eventually found another way also of doing this.. If you double click on the Dial Axis, there are check boxes which you can use.. Not as good as the one below. As long as you realise the big dials only go so far Left/Right then its a good use of them if you dont have a need for them being Axis. Mine are now mapped to FM & UHF radios volume Up & Down. I cant take credit for this.. Flugzeuger provided the solution on Virpil Forums. Attached example shows how to do axis to button, for example for axis slider (it can be for other axis, example dial) P2 means number 2 in Axis to button. If axis dial - it will be number 3 in axis to button. Range You can choose which is comfortable for You (0-50, 25-70 etc) Go to button TAB Press Button 42 Enter physical button, for example 49 Then press physical number for button, save it, and save vpc device And axis will work like button.
  5. Hey All, Got a Virpil Panel 1. I've got the two large axis dials redundant at the moment.. Is there a way to convert these in the Virpil software to act as rotary/encoders the same as the 3 small dials at the bottom of the panel?

  7. Think i have it working now.. I had tried statics before but couldn't get it to work. They have to be quite percisely placed to block the spots. Slight off and the other aircract spawn on top of them.

  10. I've got a CAS mission with F18 flying off a carrier. All works fine. Is there away to disable the F18 using bombs only... and not Guns?

  13. I've spent countless hours trying to get things working for consistency... For the most part i've got things working.. But cant seem to figure out how to avoid the scenario where AI planes seem to get stuck and wont park. They stop just forward of the bridge every time. In this situaion nothing can land... Any suggestions... i'm open to re-arranging things if thats what it takes As you can see in the image, this is what tends to happen

  16. When placing ground units in ME.. Would i be correct in stating.. Anything inside the green circle is too close and wont be engaged Anything outside the Red circile is too far and wont be engaged therefore Targets must be outside of the green, but inside the red for things like artillery to work?

  18. Followed a few examples of moving zones.. but cant get it working on a ship. Is this possible before or am i wasting time? Idea is to create a CTLD loadzone on the USS Tarawa I'm trying to via a trigger.   20. I've read a few things from posts dating back a few years.. Just wondering if its now possible to get an AI aircraft to attack a player controlled JTAC vehicle I'd like to have an AH-64 orbiting in the area, have me controlling a JTAC and the AI engaging said target. Possible or not?
  21. Here's what you can do with Helios. Each of the monitors are about £70 ($90) each. Added bonus is they are touch screen, so all the buttons around the MFD actually work by pressing them. Makes flying the CH47 so much easier and it was all down to the OP's point about not being able to easily read them in the cockpit.
  22. I cant get the ME FAC function to work. I have set it following many of the online videos which show it working. I have Stryker ICV set as FAC and another set as FAC-Engage Group - Both at 1000m with Line of Sight. I have also setup a reaper as a FAC. I have a Kiowa on the ground hot armed with Hellfire missiles If i load the mission, i get the JTAC menu option. If i then call any of the 3 JTACs it request is heard, but never get a response. I've set ME options to Easy Comms I have tried using many of the online videos and replicating exactly as they have.. but still no response. Any suggestions on what i need to do to ge the response and Lase the targets? I've attached the mission file if anyone has just a few mins to check and see what might be wrong. AFAC_Test_1.miz
  23. Sorted. My F9 key was being used by my computer as a shortcut. Removed that, now working. @razo+r thanks for the pointer
  24. Pretty sure this is an easy one when you know how.. Just playing around with a single ship point firing at a land target. When i run the mission, i can see the ship on the F10 map, but for the life of me, i cant select it to view move around it via the Func keys. Ground targets scroll through using F7 just fine. What am i missing here!!
  25. thanks for the explanations. I've had a play around. Increased the 1x Aircraft on a couple to 2 & 3 and that works nicely which is good. And for testing i've lowered the 600-700 down lower to get a feel of what and when its doing things. I've played around the zeroPulse. Not exactly sure what i'm doing! Do i add "zeroPlus / no" to the end of what is already in the Bogey Randomizer zone or is it instead of the initial pulse! command? Some have a ? and some ! I read they are input/output but not got my head around how to use as yet. Is the despawn something i could easily add to the existing .miz?
