  1. Glad to hear M14 is fixed, cause yeah I have the same issue where I circle and circle around Madonna but no one ever crashes and no SAR is called. So my question is, do you know when the next update is? I'm fairly new to DCS so I don't know if they update on a regular basis or if I just need to keep an eye out or what. Also, when you say "the next update", I'm assuming you mean the next update to DCS itself? Or is it and update to the campaign itself, and if so, how would I know about that or how would I update that? Again, if these are stupid questions then I apologize because I'm still learning this sim. Thank you
  2. This would be great if I could get datalink to work. I posted another post about this issue. I have both link 4 and link 16 turned ON in my UFC, but nothing. I've even gone into the mission planner and made sure that my aircraft and all my flight members aircraft all had each other listed in the datalink section as flight members, however nothing ever shows up on my SA page. I'm in dire need of help from someone. Anyone. Please and thank you
  3. It is. I just got to Mission 6 and have the same issue. The E2 just sits there. Also no Mods installed. Lol, I wait all week at work to be able to sit down on the weekend and play these campaigns, only to be screwed by a stupid E2 that doesn't know how to taxi. ***Update - Actually, I spoke too soon. The E2 just finally pushed pass the Tomcat, however it's now 19:54 with a push off WPT1 at 19:57 and I have yet to get the signal to taxi (WPT1 is 40nm away). We'll see how this goes.... ***Update 2 - So yeah, I get the signal to taxi around 19:58. The mission audio has already progressed (Muskets and Pistol say they're pushing), however the majority of the squadron is still on the deck. Since I'm guessing the audio is timed to the mission clock, I'm curious to see how this plays out since there's no way we're making these push times. I'll give another update in shortly.
  4. Well, I used guns and shot his left outermost engine completely off, at which point he turned around, flew back to the airfield and landed. Knight has now cleared me to RTB. Let's hope I make it with the 2.6 low state I'm at, but somehow I feel like that can't be how this mission is supposed to go, especially since I directly fired on that aircraft without permission. I dunno, whatever works I guess.
  5. Hi all, I'm playing mission 5 right now. I find MARAUDER, lights on, warning shot...everything. He commits to landing, turns towards the airfield. I stay on his 7/8 o'clock position all the way there. When he's probably 15 miles from the airport, he starts making jerking motions to the right (as if he needs to do a shallow bank to the right to eventually line up with the runway, but instead he cranks his wings hard over and then immediately levels out). He probably does this 30 or so times. In fact, I thought the campaign was then going to say something like the hijackers are fighting the pilots and thus the erratic movement. But no that doesn't happen. Instead I hear one last radio call from Knight saying Marauder is cleared to land and if he doesn't, he'll shoot him. Marauder says "I hate you, you can't win!", then he pulls hard right, turns to the west and climbs back up into the flight levels. I follow him the whole time but nothing is said and nothing happens. I would imagine Marauder turning completely away from the airfield and climbing back up to altitude would piss off Knight, but again, nothing. I had no problem with this mission until now. Thoughts?
  6. Hi all, I just finished the Raven One campaign, AWESOME job. That was amazing the amount of work that went into that. I now downloaded DF and am starting that. Right away on mission one, I'm encountering my old friend, a problem where no one from my flight shows up on my SA page. When I do a cold start, I always make sure datalink is on (I don't know the difference but I turn on both options, the Ch 127 one and the other). After I take off and I'm looking for Cajun, I assume I should see him on the SA page as per the kneeboard, but he's not there. In fact I dealt with this all the time in the original Raven One campaign. I would often see members of other flights, but never my own. I've even now gone into the mission planner and I notice that the default only ever has your own aircraft listed in your datalink section as members of your flight, so I've been adding people manually. I do that for all members of the flight, but 9 out of 10 times, they don't show up. Sometimes I'll have them finally show up on the SA page late into a mission, but for the most part nothing. I've looked up as much as I can online, watched numerous videos and still can't figure out why no one shows up on my SA page (unless of course they're a radar contact). Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. Hi all, I'm currently on Mission 9 and I'd love to be able to see Raven's 11 and 12 on my SA page, however when I turn Datalink on, all I see is my wingman, Raven 22 (labeled with a B in the circle of his contact) as well as the the E-2D (empty circle with the dot on the left side) that launched off the carrier a couple mins before me. Raven's 11 and 12 are not on my screen at all. They only show up as radar contacts when I paint them. Is that by design? Or am I doing/not doing something that's causing this? I just learned a few minutes ago that I was turning the Datalink on incorrectly (I was only hitting D/L once and then pressing ON/OFF as opposed to pressing D/L twice and then hitting ON/OFF), so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm still doing something incorrectly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. Ok cool, wasn't sure. Only asked cause what I saw in a youtube. Maybe they modified their flight plan. Who know. Thank you!
  9. I'm sorry to add more on - maybe I'm just an idiot and I'm doing it wrong, but I skipped Mission 2 and went to Mission 3. I head towards Padres and climb up to Exxon. Smoke is following me the whole way. When we get to the tanker, I hear audio says "4-2, you go first". I see smoke move up closer to the tanker, but then he just stops and sits there off the back of the left wing of the tanker. I waited and he didn't refuel. So I snuck in ahead of him and, well, that's where I just paused the mission, so I'll see what happens. But I have to image I didn't do something right, like I was in the wrong position or something (I tried two spots - one back and to the right of the right drogue, and then one in formation off the left wing of smoke, but further back to give him room to refuel). So I dunno. I'm a private pilot IRL but I was never in the military and have very little understanding of military flying procedures. Kinda just winging it and learning as I go,
  10. Adding to this post (which maybe you've already fixed), but I can't even get to the tanker with Smoke. Like the OP said, I ALWAYS take off before him, but for some reason when we get to waypoint 1, he turns E when we're supposed to turn W. Then he does like a circuit back to the boat it looks like. Also another note, my waypoint sequences look all screwy. I watched a video on YouTube of someone playing Raven One, and there's match the briefing. See the attached screenshot Looking forward to the patch. null
  11. I just started mission 10, and for whatever reason the other 3 A-10's in Pig Flight just sit on the ramp and never take off. I tried going very slow through my startup procedure, making sure I made all the correct radio calls...etc. I then took off and circled for awhile to wait for them to take off and join up, but they just sit there. I've tried telling them to rejoin multiple times as well. Am I doing something wrong?
  12. I know this is an old thread, but I have some questions that hopefully someone can help me figure out. Mainly it's regarding LATSE data. Information regarding wind seems to be different on the mission briefing screen compared to the mission data card in the kneeboard. The briefing says (btw the asterisks are in place of the "degrees" symbol): GRND 5 m/s, 69* meteo 249* (which, btw, being a private pilot I have no idea what this means. Where's just "Wind is 180@14 (180* @ 14 knts). So I don't know what "meteo" is and therefore which compass heading is where the wind is actually coming from. 2000m, 7 m/s, 86* meteo 266* 8000m, 4 m/s, 117* meteo 297* Ok now the mission data card says: Surface 04@64, 1600 - 8@64, 6600 - 14@94. So these are also confusing because again as a pilot I would read these as, Surface wind is from 004* @ 64knts, which obviously isn't correct. So I'm guessing it's 4knts from 064 degrees? But also the bigger issue is, which of these two sets of data is correct? The mission I'm on right now, Mission 7, specifically makes mention of the weather and wind being a factor. So I'd like to properly setup my LATSE, but I have no idea what to put in it because the data is all screwy. Please help Thanks
