I did notice there are now two Norwegian skins, one for 336 squadron and one for 338... but they are both exactly the same.

I'm building a new pc for a family member to also play DCS and was wondering if there is any information on the 1% lows between the 14700k and 9800X3D in DCS? I have seen some older information that the AMD chips are inferior at 1% lows in DCS, but I know DCS has had some updates for AMD chips and was wondering if this has changed?

need more information Sudden drops in FPS/stuttering
Netrunner replied to Netrunner's topic in Game Performance Bugs
So, I just installed 96gb of DDR5 6000mhz ram and I'm having this issue again with the same settings I used that seemed to fix my issue temporarily. Lots of stuttering, fps drops, flying low level on Kola with the Chinook. Going to test in other maps. It is possible it is happening when I alt-tab out of the game and then go back to the game, but I will keep testing to try to nail down if it's an issue on all maps, if its alt-tab out of the game, or something else. -

Yup, I remember that whole thing clear as day. They had an entire P-40F module ready to go and had taken pre-orders for it and then bailed from DCS. Of course, I lost my 50-60$ for the abandoned Hawk as well.

I agree that we need a Germany map. I think a Battle of Berlin map would be an excellent choice personally as I was thinking of what map would work with our late war aircraft and the upcoming La-7 and the eventual Me-262. We would be able to have both Western and Eastern fronts on the same map provided it is made large enough.

Missing USSR airbases in the upcoming Afghanistan map
Netrunner replied to Ronin_Gaijin's topic in Wish List
It was Shindad. These aren't my pictures, but they are of Shindad in around 2011 and onward. -
Yea, they definitely shot me down. I think I noticed my wingmen were not engaging enemy aircraft though now that you mention it.

Missing USSR airbases in the upcoming Afghanistan map
Netrunner replied to Ronin_Gaijin's topic in Wish List
When I was there, there was at least 1 airfield that had a lot of abandoned Soviet era aircraft in various states of disrepair in 2011. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but I do think it was Shindand. There wasn't any at Bagram that I can remember. Bagram did have the old Soviet control tower still, though it wasn't used for air traffic control. There were also at least some old Soviet buildings at Bagram that were still used, and I want to say there was a ZSU emplacement or some sort of Soviet towed artillery piece that was next to the buildings. It's been a long time so my memory escapes me on what exactly it was. -
Because of that I was thinking... what if Eagle Dynamics did the export model used by Egypt the Ka-52E? From Wiki: "Egypt's helicopter is a modified version of the basic Ka-52 Alligator that serves in the Russian Aerospace Forces. Unlike the basic model, the Egyptian Ka-52 utilizes anti-corrosion materials and has a reinforced fuselage structure. It received new landing gear and wheels, designed for the increased takeoff weight of the helicopter. The Egyptian model features updated avionics and a new cooling system for operating in hot climate. Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia on defense and space industry, proposed to name it the "Nile Crocodile".[45] The helicopter is equipped with the new OES-52 electro-optical observation and laser targeting system, replacing the standard GOES-451 mounted under the nose.[46] The new optronic system began development in 2011 as a collaboration between Kamov and Sagem, and is based on the French company's STRIX sighting System.[47] The OES-52 provides greater range of target detection and recognition. The helicopter features the Arbalet-52 dual-band coherent pulse radar, which has an Earth mapping range of 32 km and a detection range of 25 km for ground targets and 15 km for aerial targets.[48] The Nile Crocodiles use President-S airborne defense systems for protection against guided missiles.[49][50] The system includes both radar and laser warning receivers, MAW sensors, chaff/flare dispensers, in addition to ECM and DIRCM jammers.[51] Egyptian Ka-52s feature two new DIRCM sets installed on either side of the fuselage, which are different from the standard L370-5 sets.[52] Moreover, the laser-warning system present on the Russian variants of the Ka-52 has been removed, and a L-150 Pastel radar warning receiver has been installed instead.[49] Egypt plans to arm its Ka-52s with Russian anti-tank guided missiles. The Air Force has chosen two types of missiles; namely the laser-guided Vikhr and the radar-guided Ataka beam-riding missiles."

So I recently flew the FW190A8 and did several hours of 1 on 1 BFM training with the AI and didn't manage to get a single hit. This is even with setting the AI to rookie. The enemy aircraft were a P-47 and a P-51. I know there have been AI changes going on the past several years, so did they make the AI even more UFO like? I distinctly remember the AI I-16 being some sort of unbeatable monster when I flew against it several years ago.

fixed FPS drops and mouse movement causing stutter
Netrunner replied to ExGreyFox's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I just started having this problem tonight as well! Only happens when I move the mouse.
