Why I'm not able to download it?

So, when we will be able to pre-purchase the f-18 module?
I'm still learning the CDU on the a-10C but I would put it aside for the f-18.

Then they went to work on FSX for a couple of years, which you had to pay almost twice as much as BS.
I dissagree, it cost me 32$ CAN for FSX deluxe edition.
But I agree that we must wait until the A-10 engine is completly/or more patched before receiving an upgrade to BS.
Patching BS = moving the 3d model and programming of the KA-50 to
the A-10C 3D engine.
I don't like to patch and repatch and repatch a game. I prefer one big patch from time to times.

As a new pilot in the KA 50, v 1.02 ( ie never having flown the earlier versions ), I am curious to know whats wrong with the AI wingmen in v1.02 versus v1.01?
Am I not using my wingmen correctly? The only thing I have seen is the occasional refusal to do a recon to a data link point. Apart from that, he seems ok, at "excellent" skill level.
Just curious as to what needs fixing?
As an exemple, I was asking my wing man to RTB and he flew away ?? I don't know where, but he was going away of the only planned base.

I can run BS on medium settings with a beautiful framerate.
I run Warthog on lowest settings and it's unflyable. Point being, if you don't have a top of the line computer, you're screwed. I won't be downloading the patch.
when people are saying medium setting or low setting they seem to forgot that the screen resolution has a big impact on the fps. lower it at 1024x768 and your frame rate will get a big boost. Before telling that your computer isn't able to play a game or sim, always try to buy a good video card.

resource-intensive Warthog engine can still be problematic for folks like me using older computers. A good case in point is my aging Dell Optiplex, which nevertheless exceeds the original minimum requirements for BS
You understand that your computer is old, so you gonna need to upgrade it one day, and that day, you'll probably ask ED to upgrade that sim engine with their most current!!
Sorry, but I'm waiting so much for an engine upgrade in BS to play with it again.
If your computer don't meet the minimum spec start thinking to upgrade it.
But please don't ask ED not to upgrade their sim.

So, do you feel it's fair to explain what you took 100 of hours to acquired in about 15 minutes to someone that is just too lazy to take time to read?
In my opinion, if someone is too lazy to take the time to read the manual he does not deserve help.

I really wish Matt had completed all the training videos and posted them on youtube like he did for the engine startup sequence..... That would help ALOT. :)
You need to read the manual. This is the only solution. You cannot just take practical course on flying an aircraft. You need to read the manual.
And, you cannot expect that someone will read entirely the manual then explain it to you in 15minutes.

fps is just perfect, the problem was really my video card. So, for people that are using a gtx260 and complaining about frames rate, you just need to lower the screen resolution. :cry:

Didn't notice anything blurred, but my frame rate dropped from 80fps to 35 - 51fps. :(
Need to lower the resolution back to 1280x768.
Is there a reason why there is no 1280x720 ?
what is making the fps dropping? Sound engine, or graphic engine?
Anyways, my graphic card is pretty old, I need to change it.
I like the canopy sound, I hope that the canopy will not break if I open and close it 10x in a row :)

Once you get use to it you probably will not fly without it again. Well worth the money if you are serious about flight sims.
Hmm... I cannot wait to get use to it. It's pretty hard to click on the switches.
Mainly for setting the ILS and TACAN frequency. If you have some tips I'd appreciate if you want to share them with me.
I'm not able to look correctly to the left and right panel. I pause the sim and remove my hat to do it manually. (I don't use the pause key for TIR).
It's really hard to get use to it.

Sure man you have a nice rig, my...not that much, E6500, GTS250, 2GB Mem, XPSP3. But as I told before It's more than enough to ran almost anything I throw to him,

I'm work in and I am an IT Slave ever since I can rememberI understand now. You're not the master, but really the slave ;)
Buy an I7xxx, a graphic card (one that can handle dx11 for future release.)
more than 2 megs or RAM et voila;. You'll then find that sim amazing.
By the way, opt for the windows 7 64bit.

My system is almost 5yrs old.. with just an updated vid card. My performance is gained by putting time into the fitness of my system to do what I need it to do. Why am I so happy with release? Could I be lying and receiving kickbacks from ED? :) not likely... so maybe there's something to be considered here?
If you believe that beta4 ran better than release I would suggest that you have bigger system problems than just how DCS runs. I wish you luck.
I want your video card.
I'm out of budget. Damn course.

I wasn't expecting to run this game at 50fps solid with my specs, but the previous beta 4 game performance was way better than the final release and not only in my opinion, a lot of other users are complaining on this forum about this. You are correct, I don't have a rocket PC like yours, but I can fairly play every single game released recently. Just for your information (I know that this is not not a new game but he was a game know as a huge resource hogger) I can play LockOn FC2 at max graphic setting smoothly. What I'm saying is that the game at this point in my opinion still have big optimization problems. If this simulator to run need at last 8GB of memory a x64 bit OS and a GTX570 it should have be advertised and its clearly not. My computer is much more above the minimum system requirements but even with my specs the game is unplayable.
This sim run pretty well on my computer, i7 950, but with a really old video card "gtx260". I simply cannot put the screen resolution at 1680x1050 but at 1280x768 I have 44fps (min) but the average is above 80fps.
water at low, shadow at low and everything else at high.
The first thing you have to do is lower your screen resolution, most of people that are complaining for low fps was because of their video card having a hard time to render images at higher resolution.
Don't blame the dev. team, blame your budget.
The option screen is there to configure the sim with the hardware that you have. the minimum requirement (for all software) mean that you'll be able to play it with this requirement but at everything low. This is common for all software.

That video card is old a little bit. Maybe EtherealN may tell you if they test that sim with this video card. If not, you may think to upgrade it. I'm pretty sure that's the problem why your frame rate is not higher than that.
Start task manager, kill all that you don't need (if you don't know what post a screenshot of your task manager) start the sim. It may help to gain 5-10 fps but changing your video card for a NVidia one (gtx series are the best bet) may improve greatly the fps.

Please take a screenshot of your task manager and post it. I you have a good computer, maybe it's something that slow down your computer.
ex. if you are seeding the torrent, your hd may be working too hard. That may slow down the loading page

OK your system is better than most, so it's not that it is slow or anything. Try reinstalling, perhaps to another folder. Updating graphics drivers, directx etc.
I've a feeling this will be one of those problems that are hard to pin down or will be fixed by accident.
You may want to start your own thread in the DCS Problems forum. Your problem will get lost in here.

Maybe he should set the installation folder in the anti-virus exception.
AVG permit this.
Avg -> tools -> setting -> resident shield -> excluded items or something similar.
