  1. personally i think that he uses the trim just when he pressed with the thumb...all the other movement are just "adjustment" of the grip. I hope that we won't end up with a helo that never stay in position and you'll spend most of the time trimming.
  2. the intention of the topic is not to create flame....is just a consideration after seeing picture of the "on-going" project.
  3. from the pictures shown in the review (SimHq, DCS site etc) seems that the terrain is the same of LockOn but i really hope that in the final release something change.
  4. Sorry i'm quite confused...i was searching for black shark's news in the old lockon forum and i realize now that black shark is became a completely new and indipendent software/project. I have some concerns and i want to share with the community: 1- if i understood well now BS has ONLY the KA-50 flyable model. So we are moving from a initial project with many airplanes and one helicopter to a new project with one helicopter. Ok this could be fine although i prefer the first approach. 2- Terrain: ok...the terrain of lock on was quite fine due to the fact that you are flying with airplanes. When Black Shark was annunced some concern relevant to the quality of the terrain (texture, details, variety) have been raised but beacuse of the exciting perspective to fly airplanes and helicopter the matter has less importance. So what happen in the next future? does the terrain used in BS will be changed? sorry for my english.... bye
  5. Thanks for the promptly reply. I agree with you about the difference between a First Person Shooter and a Flightsim but as you describe if you flight with an helicopter the visual range will be smaller...so i expect a "scalable" software that could increase/decrease the details take into account the field of view of the player. In any case...i will wait for BS...and i hope in a DEMO to test the software.
  6. First of all sorry for my english...i'll try to do the best. i follow this game from the first day (i have LOMAC and then FC) but i spent just few hours playng due to excessive lag, low fps, configuration problem etc etc. In any case i'm hoping that black shark (and the new computer technologies) can result in a good simulation/playing expreince in the very near future (i hope before the end of the year?!?!?!). i have just few questions: - the graphics in lockon was very fantastic at the beginnig, but we are talking about 3 years ago....now black shark will be "updated" and can it comparable with the last software generation (GRAW2, BF2142, etc etc)?? for example the ground texture from LOMAC trought FC has not changed and is not very good...is poor, flat and whitout details; same for the trees. How the ED are managing this aspects (also considering that with KA-50 you will spend a lot of time close to the ground)? That's all for the moment...i have other questions but we can discuss later. Thanks
  7. Same curiosity here....
  8. I have noticed two major things: 1- if you install Gt-Legends (driving simulation game from SimBin), that is starforced based, you do not need to insert the Flaming Cliff CD inside the reader. Probably GT-Legends install some starforce driver that by-pass the flaming cliffs protection. So at the moment i can play lock on without the CD 2- After the installation of GT-Legends i have noticed a strange graphic problem in Flaming Cliffs. The FPS are stable but the game "stutters" a lot in the same missions that previously were ok. Now i try to investigate the second problem that is very annoying
  9. This aspect was allready discussed before the launch of 1.11 che ci vuoi fare...non ci vogliono mettere sti boom!!! è inutile insistere arghhh
  10. everybody will confirm that is possible BUT evreybody confirm also that the booms are not displayed on client pc.
  11. i'm fully agree with you about the realism and the fact that labels are not a "real think" I also know that radar, RWR, EWS helps a lot to find enemy BUT (probably i have some problem with my eyes) i found that planes are "plotted" on the screnn too late (or in other terms too close). In any case i will try to fly without labels.
  12. now i don't remember the minimum distance setted in the .lua files but from the first time that i played Flaming cliffs i found it appropriate. If i switch off the label i have to stay alway zoom in on contrary if you are zoom out is very difficult to spot a plane.
  13. I have installed Flaming Cliffs just few weeks ago and i love the new label system (that is more or less the same that i have used, edit by me, in lock 1.02) my question is: why in the server label is always swithced off?!?! i think that the visibility range in game is not so realistic and i think that the new system of label is perfect.
  14. have you connect the power supply to the card? or you have only inserted in the slot (pci or agp)?
  15. at the moment i suggest you to buy only the trackir 3 pro. The Zoom features is not so usefull.
