Thank you for looking - I appreciate the time for you to look in to this. The subtlety of the radio comms was lost on me, since I have not had an issue in previous Campaigns I assumed because the menu came up that it was ok. I shall go back and try again. Thanks BK -

Hi Badger, I carried out a DCS system repair before testing. I can confirm I'm definitely using the correct radio protocol. I flew mission 9 (early refuel in this mission) and had the same issue. I select Intent to refuel from the pull down menu but get no reply. Aux channel is set correctly. I've checked out Kenny's youtube vid for the above mission and I'm doing nothing different. Mission 8 and Others

Hi Badger, Thanks for the quick response. I don't think I have an issue with the radio comms - I was on AUX 3 as requested, the frequency was as described in the kneepad. As for the landing the weather was so bad, I also noticed when flying low over the mountains the aircraft was being buffeted around - as you say an ED issue. Thanks BK. -
Hi Badger, I'm very much enjoying the challenges you have set. However I have experienced the same refuelling issues in mission 8 and in previous missions were refuelling is required. The issue is I do not get a response from Texeco when making first contact or at anytime thereafter. I get into pre-contact position but still no response. after a short while my wingman confirms he has refuelled I then given the option to press space bar and continue with the mission. I have completed previous missions were this has been an issue with 100% success - albeit I have not hooked up connected to the refuelling hose. Also in this particular mission the landing on the Carrier is way more difficult since the DCS update on the 22/10/2025. Maybe something maybe nothing..... Mission 8.trk

Thanks for the swift reply. Just for absolute clarity once I've refuelled from the port basket should my wingman then refuel? Because he didn't when I got to this point earlier today. Thanks again.... BK

Hi, Firstly I'm very much enjoying the challenge but I think there maybe an issue with mission 13. The issue:- On approach to the refuelling tanker both baskets are already deployed. On the first refuel, the mission advice suggests using the starboard basket. I approach the starboard basket following the pre-contact message. I cannot connect, I get the breakaway advice - which I ignore - but I still cannot connect. It looks to me that I should have a successful connection. My wingman makes no attempt to refuel on the left basket. I move across to the left basket and successfully refuel. I disconnect but again my wingman makes no move to refuel. Ultimately the game times out with a mission fail. Your thoughts? Regards BK.

My initial issue has been resolved. Whilst the exact cause of the problem was unknown the solution was to rebuild the DCS folder in saved games. Problem solved. BK

Hi Czar66, thanks for your input - I'm doing nothing different this week compared to months ago. The missing JHMCS is an issue in the DCS supplied Sidewinder mission (and others) the purpose of which is to use the JHMCS to lock up targets. Since that mission spawns into flight all MFDs are up and running. I don't really know where to start looking for any "mods" I've scanned through the saved games/DCS folder I see nothing unusual. MODS folder is empty, albeit there are two subfolders both are empty, LIVERIES is empty. I've logged a call with DCS to see what they make of it. BK

Hi Silverdevil, Many thanks for your response, as far as i'm aware I have only ever downloaded/purchased from the DCS website, given that 3rd party mods cause issues. I have no idea what SH-60B is or how it has entered my system. All very strange. thanks for the heads up - I'll dig a little to see if I can find something but to be honest that's a little outside my area of knowledge - hey ho every days a learning curve. BK

HI, I think following the update 26/3/2025 the JHMCS has become invisible. Once turned ON I have gone through the Alignment procedure but this appears to be malfunctioning. I can do the first part of the Alignment (the big cross, coarse setup) but the dy/dx that follows shows it to be perfectly aligned, which it is not. If I remove the BLANKING option for the HMD/JHMCS I do see all the info I'd expect to see just not blanked out when I look through the HUD. Setting the BLANKING removes all info no matter where I look? I've waited until the most recent update to see if that resolved the issue but it has made no difference. Over to DCS...... Raven One - Mission 12 Alert 7 - Observations
BunnyKeeper replied to BunnyKeeper's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi there, Many thanks for your comments - Is DCS aware of this SA issue, is it worth me raising this with them directly? Regards BK -
Good Morning All, Firstly I'm really enjoying this campaign, there has been much to learn/Improve in the way I manage the F18 and all its systems. BD have done an excellent job. However, I've flown this mission a number of times with mixed results and I think there maybe some bugs that are influencing the mission:- I have seen the BD mission complete logo a few times at the beginning of the mission before I've left the carrier. In the mission briefing the SAM sites are documented - but these are not shown in the SA page? Although my wingman is off my left wing he does not appear on the SA page, AWACs and enemy flights do. Its unclear whether my wingman contributes to the overall SA info, I certainly do not get any data on what he's locking up. Since I cannot see him on the SA page I cannot tell whether he's a donor or member. When I receive information from the AWACs about enemy flights they are not always visible on the SA page - they appear to come and go. I could be setting up the jet incorrectly but I follow my procedure which has worked fine to date. Also the above was apparent before and after the very latest ED update of 5th March. Happy Flying BunnyKeeper

Hi All, Not sure if this is an Baltic Dragon or an ED issue, but I get this (see photo) or something very similar on two or three occasions during this mission. The program hangs until I cancel the window and it then appears to resume ok? Regards BunnyKeeper
-
Hi All, Firstly a shout out to Baltic Dragon who do a great job bringing Campaigns such as Raven One to us "armchair" pilots. I've been working through the missions and currently trying to complete Mission 3, however there appears to some issues:- Issue 1 - Starting the mission from the Carrier and navigating to the refuelling tanker:- Smoke gets first go at refuelling and once complete the drogue retracts into the tanker pod. I give the ready pre contact message and the tanker clears me to contact but the drogue remains in the refuelling pod? If I abort the refuelling and go through the process again it works fine. issue 2 - Moving on from the refuelling, once i arrive at Basrah:- I instruct Smoke to do the show of force, once done he wonders off. There is no further comms from the guys on the ground? If I carryout the show of force the mission moves on ok. I haven't completed the mission beyond the moving target leaving Basrah. Issue 3 - From the carrier but skipping the first part of the mission I morph on the right of the tanker: I check my fuel tanks and confirm they are full. I fly various tasks around Basrah, sometimes with Smoke carrying out the task in hand and it all appears to work fine. However, having spent 40 mins or so circling Basrah I check my fuel state and find I have not used one pound of fuel, my F18 remains full? I tried dumping fuel but it makes no difference to the fuel state. I hope this provides sufficient information to assist with a fix. Regards BK.
