I feel the ww2 genre is lacking quite a bit, will we ever be getting more planes like the Ju88, Stuka, Lancaster bomber and B17? I know some of these are ai controlled but it would be nice to get some playable versions

yeah, im trying to perfect it, in the mossie you have the arrow at the top and the arrow at the bottom, im guessing both need to be pointing directly up and directly down when at level flight

when im flying on heading somewhere, i get a lot of drift, where the plane likes to bank either to the left or the right, what is the best trim to counter it? I tend to use the aileron trim instead of rudder trim, it does seem to work but can be quite sensitive, is this the right way? Is this trim also the better one to use when you get an engine out and have to feather it and do trim corrections?

i assume you cant edit the preset missions you get with the mossie as it seems to work with user made ones, and no, The british voice pack just doesnt seem to work even though i overwrote all the vanilla ones, they somehow still come through with the default american voices

ok, i think it may have been just that one mission, i tried another one and it seems to work now. I was trying to do it on one of the default mossie missions you get with the pack the "operation crossbow" mission where you have to mess around with the transmitter and receiver in the back

oh, that may actually be it. I will try again and see if it works. Edit - Nope, tried it with the first tower frequency too, still nothing

ok just tried that, still nothing, even have easy coms switched off i go into the mission planner or mission editor. Select the airfield, it gives you a list of tower frequencies. I put the 2nd frequency in my B slot for my plane. Then when in the plane, select radio B and I don't get a response still

So i have both mosquito and the spitfire, and when i use atc to request taxi etc... they never respond to me, I tried changing to channels b, c, and d and i still get nothing. second, a bit off topic but i downloaded the ww2 british radio voices, placed them in the sounds directory of my game, and it still uses the default american voices

So what is up with the chase view for the mossie? In the spitfire you can turn all around it fine and zoom in and out as you please, but the mossie chase view is terrible. Turning to the side makes the camera shift further and further away from the plane and it becomes unusable as a view

Still no wipers... We have buttons to speed up and slow down wiper speed, but no option to turn them on.

This is the thing I have only been able to practice against AI so I only know what I have experienced from them and I don't know what I don't know if that makes sense. Watching a video of someone doing it is helpful to a point but you don't see or get a feel of how they are handling their stick, and while they make it look easy, they maybe aren't explaining it well enough for it to be noted. This is why I was looking for other real players to take me under their wing for a short period so that I can be corrected when I'm doing something wrong instead of making the same mistakes over and over

i swear this game is actually trolling me now. After venting and getting all that off my chest, I just tried one of the missions i always get shot down on, and wouldnt you know, i took down 2 ju-88's and one of the 2 109s and made it back to base as if everything i was struggling with before somehow wasn't an issue anymore

oh i have been patient. I have tried pulling on the turn, i have tried letting the plane turn on its own, but they just seem to always zip past. While constantly turning to get round to them, they end up in front of me for a few seconds and they are already facing me and zip right back behind me again, by this time im already starting to stall on the turn and while im spinning around in literal circles to get this one plane, another one has already made it behind me and is taking pot shots while my flight is just flying around doing aerobatics like its an airshow

So I have pretty much had to watch tutorials on how to do everything, and I have pretty much got everything nailed except the dogfighting part. All the youtube guides just don't seem to work for me and I have followed them exactly, the correct rpm and throttle settings, yet I'm always getting the same problem. In all the video guides i see, they always manage to keep enemy fighters in front of them and follow them with ease on turns and take pot shots like shooting fish in a barrel. However when i follow it exactly, I get them outrunning me on turns and I can't keep up with them and end up always losing energy and getting stuck in a stall roll type situation. Then they spend 90% of the time on my tail and I can't ever shake them off because 1. There are next to no guides on how to shake off an enemy from your tail, and 2. because im stuck at low speeds, im then having to fly straight to build up speed by which they shoot my ass off every time. Its starting to get so frustrating and annoying now, that I'm actually losing interest in playing because the guides make it look so easy and even when i follow them, it just doesn't work for me. I even tried asking on this forum to join someone to help me and practice get my skill up and my post got ignored.
