  1. Yeah, answered well. What was tripping me up was the "COMM 1" message which, as you say is not standard A-10C jargon. Once I understood what the author meant by that and acted accordingly the missing parts of the mission fell into place. Thanks a bunch.
  2. The mission can be found at https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3343636/
  3. At the beginning of Retaking Kolubeti I get a message saying "Set your radios to COMM 1 to Channel 3 and COMM 2 to channel 2." What does that mean and how do I do that? I've only ever used SRS.
  4. Thanks, that worked perfectly. Criticism for VKB: During disassembly I discovered that the grips are held on with metal screws in plastic holes . For what I paid for the throttle I had expected that they would use metal-to-metal fasteners becasue that is a much more durable way of doing things. Metal screw threads have a tendency to strip the threads in plastic holes; that's fine if it is only going to ever assembled once and then never disassembled ever again but that is clearly not the case here. I suppose they did it to cut cost. ::sigh::
  5. My STECS throttle grip is getting a bit messy so I'm wondering how best to clean it. There are tiny little flecks of what I can only assume are dead skin (from my palm) sticking to it. I tried brushing them off with a soft brush and wiping them off with a clean cloth but that didn't work. Any good advice would be appreciated.
  6. If I'm flying the A-10C (which I often do) and I find a ground contact that doesn't have a short name like Shilka or Leopard how should I report it? I mean, if I acquire a ZSU-57 should I say "Zulu Sierra Uniform Five Seven" or should I say "SPAGG" or what? Oh and how do you pronounce SPAAG?
  7. Multi-GPU support is very much dead outside of certain server farm applications. Nvidia and AMD stopped making multi-GPU capable consumer hardware simply becasue it was not popular enough or efficient enough to be worth it anymore. Most people don't even own motherboards that have more than one PCIe slot so most people can't use SLI/Crossfire anyways. Hardly any DCS players are going to buy a workstation-class PC and a pair of workstation GPU cards just to improve their DCS performance. Plus, the workstation-class cards that have NVLink connectors don't have game-optimised drivers anyways becasue they're intended for working, not gaming. When Nvidia writes the drivers for those cards they don't optimise them for games; never have, never will. So even if ED wanted to work on multi-GPU support for your workstation-class cards they would be hamstrung by drivers that are not optimised for DCS. ED would be better off trying to leverage the NPU chips that are in the latest generation of Intel and AMD CPUs becasue those will eventually be in every CPU within the next ten years... unless the AI trend turns out to be another bubble. I mean, I don't know what they could actually do with NPU cores but I can image they could think of something. Maybe make the ATC be smarter? Remember: Just becasue you can't do something doesn't mean you should.
  8. See example attached. First I tried some actual targets, all worked. At the end I took a random location, tried to name it 2S3 and it got CDU_INPUT_ERROR; made a new waypoint at that exact same location as that one but named it TWOESSTHREE instead, got accepted. This is FUBAR. LastMissionTrack.trk
  9. I've noticed that if I name a waypoint certain names I get CDU_INPUT_ERROR but not other names. For example if I name a waypoint 2S3 I get the error message but if I name that exact same location TWOESSTHEREE I do not get the error. What gives? Is there some list of alphanumeric combos that the A-10C's CDU is forbidden to accept?
  10. No matter what I do the best score I can get is 50. I flew both waypoints and all the enemies are dead but then nothing happens. No more orders, no comms traffic, no new enemies, no prompts. I can fly around until I run out of fuel and still nothing happens. If I fly home and all my wingmen land and park and I only get a 50 instead of 100. What gives? LastMissionTrack.trk
  11. How? The only option that the DCS website gives me is Google Authenticator. It doesn't show me anything else.
  12. I do not want to use any Google app. I do not trust them to keep my phone number private. They routinely collect and sell personal data so their 2FA app can get stuffed. Please give us an alternative.
  13. Ok thanks for the informative reply. I'll let you know if this crops up again.
