Possible fix for DCS-ExportScript/Stream Deck stutter
DrShaw replied to a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Almost in 2026 and this fixed massive cpu spikes and stuttering. Thanks so much! (especially using time acceleration). -
I've attempted this mission 5 or 6 times, failed the a/a combat each time. I can't ever get a shoot cue with STL with my 120's even though they are in range (less than 20 miles), are they doing some crazy radar jamming or something? I've tried mad dogging the missile's, I've tried attacking them offset from further back than I should be (not near my wingman), I've tried just outrunning them to get separation and then turn on the one that seems hell bent on just getting me. It's probably a skill issue, but here are 5 track files. I never once got STL even though I did shoot down 1 enemy plane once. Just doesn't seem fair and curious what others are finding? This campaign has been pretty bumpy for me. Monitor LUA files, what does the ViewDx parameter do?
DrShaw posted a topic in Multi-Display Support
Example below, but when do you need to adjust the ViewDx= parameter on the left and right viewport if all 3 monitors are identical resolution (and make/model)? My outer monitors are angled inward slightly.. maybe 10-15 degrees inward compared to flat center. Viewports = { Left = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 2560; height = 1440; viewDx = -1; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7777777777777777; }, Center = { x = 2560; y = 0; width = 2560; height = 1440; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7777777777777777; }, Right = { x = 5120; y = 0; width = 2560; height = 1440; viewDx = 1; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7777777777777777; }, } -
Sudden FPS drop during Supercarrier parking turn
DrShaw replied to Pathe's topic in Game Performance Bugs
This happens to me as well. In campaign missions single player. When you park on Super Carrier and the parking menu appears, suddenly fps takes a nose dive until I quit the mission.- 3 replies

Mission 6 - A-A engagement
DrShaw replied to SHazmak's topic in DCS: F/A-18C Operation Mountain Breeze Campaign
Just played this mission. Can confirm most of the issues reported here although I didn't have an issue defeating the migs. Tacview attached. Tacview-20251029-143141-DCS-Mission 6.zip.acmi -
I haven't tested all modules, but at least with the F/A 18C the HUD becomes blurry, almost like it's a bad "Bold" font effect being applied when using the 1 Camera LUA vs 3 Camera LUA. I'm using the default LUA files with a overall resolution of 7680x1440 (identical triple 1440p monitors). With 3 Camera, I have warping on the left and right monitors on the horizon line. But I have a crispy HUD. With 1 Camera, the warping goes away, the main menu and F10 map spans all 3 monitors (which I don't prefer but oh well), but the main issue is my HUD becomes so blurry it's unusable. 1 Camera LUA, just on my main monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 fixes the blurry HUD, but I lose the other monitors. I have tried disabling DLSS completely and no change with the HUD being blurry after enabling the 7680x1440 resolution. Here are the screenshots (ignore the new visor masking bug in the 3 camera screenshot, which was already reported) Screenshot 1: 3 camera, warping horizon, crisp HUD and a visor bug Screenshot 2: 1 camera, straight horizon line, no visor bug, but blurry HUD Screenshot 3: Display settings Screenshot 4: my autoexec.cfg file Core i9-12900kf with RTX 5090 and 64GB RAM

It happens randomly, from 1000hz down to 125hz. Bug is alive and well.
-
I would have guessed mouse movement (due to polling rate) was causing the stutters.

FPS drops and mouse movement causing stutter
DrShaw replied to ExGreyFox's topic in Game Performance Bugs
@JediMaster it will keep happening even at 500Hz. It happens at 250Hz, it's just less pronounced and only happens about 1 in every 3 launches of the game but it's completely random. To verify, as soon as you get to the main menu, bring up the fps counter and move the mouse in the main menu.. if no cpu activity or fps drops, you got lucky on that launch! If you get fps dips and cpu activity spikes.. relaunch and cross your fingers again. -
Attaching TacView Mission file. I drop my first GBU and destroy a target, my CBU doesn't destroy the second target even though it hits the mark. I try to destroy it with guns but then Lead says she'll drop on it and I'm to return to high overwatch. I comply. She destroys the target and then ANVIL says "Thanks, I have nothing more for you". Lead then says "where do you want my last cluster". ANVIL says: "How about you hit those cars on the road?" (there are no cars on the road that I can see) Lead says: "OK" and proceeds to just orbit the waypoint forever and ever. Eventually I gave up and RTB'd myself after trying whatever I could to "un freeze" her (searched for other targets, etc..), I recovered on carrier but the mission still wouldn't end successfully. So I quit and mission ended in a draw. Tacview-20251028-113139-DCS-Mission 5.zip.acmi

reported Center Monitor somehow "masked" (only F16 and f18)
DrShaw replied to C180Pilot's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I assumed it was already reported. @BIGNEWY do you know if the 1 Camera LUA with large resolution makes the HUD blurry (at least in F/A 18C) has already been reported / known? -
Ah yes, this bug is alive and well. Happens to me with a Glorious Gaming Model D mouse on every polling rate from 250hz, to 500hz, to 1000hz. I haven't done all the testing with 125hz yet. It happens on roughly ~40-45% of my game launches. It's an easy test: I launch the game, wait 2.5 minutes for it to get to the main menu, enable the DCS FPS counter and move the mouse around.. if the CPU activity spikes and FPS drops, I just quit the game and re-launch. Sometimes have to do it 2-3 times but usually not more than that. No rhyme or reason or common thread I can ascertain. Nothing in logs. Doesn't matter if I launch and do nothing else but wait for the game to appear or if I open other programs during the game loading. Or if I'm browsing the web while it's launching. Doesn't matter what other open programs I have. Doesn't matter if it's a fresh reboot or anything else in all my testing. Just appears to be totally random.

Center Monitor somehow "masked" (only F16 and f18)
DrShaw replied to C180Pilot's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Or what about the one with a blurry HUD if you use a wide resolution and 1 camera LUA? As seen on the bottom screenshot of my post above. I still don't understand that: 3 Camera = HUD crisp. Visor bug. 1 Camera = HUD blurry. Same overall resolution with either. Can't win either way -
Center Monitor somehow "masked" (only F16 and f18)
DrShaw replied to C180Pilot's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks. Was hoping it was fixed in the micro update today but no joy? I hope this bug report goes in a different bucket than the Mouse Polling CPU Spike/FPS stutters bug (still have that on 45% of my game launches, even with a polling rate of 250hz). Or the MFD export brightness bugs plaguing WinWing external displays. This one basically wrecks my entire setup. -

I haven't seen this as reported? Can you link me? -
I have three 1440p monitors, so my total resolution is 7680x1440. With the new Visor update, you can see hard lines where the visor effect stops (about the middle of my left and right monitor). See screenshots below. 1st screenshot: I capture it right in the middle of the transition of lifting the visor up (after keybinding the raise and lower visor actions), so the effect is midway up the vertical screen. 2nd screenshot: Visor is down but you see that it doesn't cover the entire resolution. (3 Camera LUA) 3rd screenshot: With 1Camera LUA, the issue is not present and visor covers the entire screen, even at my 7680x1440 resolution, but the HUD is so blurry it's unusable (also see screenshot).
