  1. Hi, I'm playing the On The Other Side mission from the Deployment campaign. I'm hovering in front of the enemy area, though I can't spot any enemies. My wingmen have detected targets "at 1 oclock", as they say, but I cannot locate those targets myself. How can I tell my wingman to send me the coordinates or whatever, so I could know exactly where those enemies are? I mean, it's no use saying "there's an enemy somewhere in front of us, a bit to the right".
  2. OK, that's weird. I have deleted the Players.lua file from the Data/scripts folder of the installed game, and the game still remembers my kill ratio and other logbook information. WTF and, more importantly, why doesn't it read the old Players.lua file I put there? Update: Fixed it. The Players.lua file, at least on Windows 7, needs to be placed here, and not in the Program Files folder: C:\Users\yonyz\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\Logbook
  3. Before formatting my PC, I have backed up the C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\Logbook\players.lua file, because I have completed several missions in the Deployment campaign. After reinstalling the game, I've copied the file to the right folder, replaced with the existing one, but my pilot doesn't appear in the Logbook, and of course, the Deployment campaign's status is Inactive. :helpsmilie:
  4. So no 30mm against tanks. OK. I'll try to remember that.
  5. Hi, I have a problem attacking pretty much anything that can seriously hit me (tanks, armored vehicles with mounted machine guns) with the 30mm machine gun. The problem is that, once I'm close enough to actually hit the target, it's past the point where they can no longer observe me. So I usually die when I run out of Vikhrs, because I can't approach those vehicles without getting killed long before I get to hit any of them.
  6. Yes, I do that too, but it's not enough.
  7. It's ALREADY fun! :D Also, my last problem of losing track of the middle LED was because, well, the camera can't see through my head, so I used the TrackClip Pro's "leg" to extend the LEDs to the left, and now they are all exposed at even extreme angles.
  8. The deadzone option seems to do the trick, somewhat. Something that annoying me is the default head position. Can I configure the game to always start with the farthest head position? Nevermind, I'm used to changing the zoom with the mouse when I start a mission anyway... Overall, I'm very pleased with the way FreeTrack works for me. One small problem that's left is the fact the FreeTrack loses track of the middle IR LED when I turn my head too much to the right or left. Will removing the PS3 Eye's IR filter help? Cause right now, I need to use a lot of gain for the IR LEDS to be tracked decently by FreeTrack, in pitch black darkness.
  9. Thanls, that helped a lot. However, there's still a bit of a shaking. Can I add a dead zone to the Yaw and Pitch axis?
  10. OK, I got it a lot more responsive now using the Sensitivity sliders, but it's a bit shaky. That is, it's hard to make the view hold still.
  11. Well, I didn't change anything, but now the 3D head does not move at all, despite the fact that FreeTrack is showing 3 green lights, meaning it's tracking the leds.
  12. Hi, I have the latest FreeTrack version working almost perfectly with a TrackClip Pro. The FreeTrack 3D head moves precisely as I move my head, except it translates it to wider movements, which is fine. What isn't fine is the fact that the same is not true in DCS Black Shark. The view changes almost like I move my head. That is, the movements are not translated as wider. So basically, I can't move the pilot's head enough to look at and of the side panels, or the lower panel where the stick is, not to mention looking back. It seems to me that FreeTrack is configured fine, considering the way the 3D head behaves. So I guess both TrackIR and FreeTrack users can help me in configuring Black Shark for decent headtracking. Thanks.
  13. I'd rather start my engines once in a mission. :D
  14. Building your own cockpit?
  15. But they ignore my requests for rearming. Do I need to set the radio somehow? Edit: Oh, I didn't know the radio has to be set to Ground Crew. Done. :D
  16. Hi, I'm playing a mission from Dragon's Tutorial Pack, and in this mission, the takeoff is from a runway, not a FARP. So where do I need to land in order to refuel/rearm/request something from the ground crew?
  17. Thank you, 26-J39.
  18. Can any of my wingmen be a fixed-wing aircraft, like an Su-25? Could be useful for destroying SAMs which I may find hard to avoid while attacking. Also, how can I slew the Shkval to the target coordinates?
  19. I tried Dragon's ArmA 2 Sounds mod today. Honestly, I disliked it very much. From the sound of powering the helicopter with the batteries or external power, to the sound of the rotors. I'm back to the originals.
  20. Apparently, DL was off. I just realized it when I saw the Datalink video by Matt Wagner. It works now. Thank you.
  21. That didn't work. Nothing shows up on the ABRIS...
  22. Just wondering, what's wrong with the current copy protection? It merely requires pressing an Activate button and it's done. Can't be easier. You also can deactivate and ask for more activations, so yeah, no problem.
  23. Hi, I am currently playing a training mission from Dragon's Training pack and I'm in a hover where I can spot all of the enemy tanks and AAA vehicles. I already ran out of Vikhrs BEFORE I destroyed what seems like an AAA vehicle, so since there are also a lot of other enemy vehicles around, mainly tanks, before I approach for some rocket runs, I'd like to mark those targets on the ABRIS, to remember to deal with them all. The question is, what is the procedure for doing this?
  24. Yeah, I have already installed it. Didn't notice much of a difference, though it looks good in the screenshots.
